Lisa Rinna calls her exit from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills “scary.” She feels that she made the right decision after an “unhealthy” season. The reality star got more backlash than ever before. Fans called for her firing and booed her at BravoCon 2022.
Earlier this month, Lisa announced that she was leaving RHOBH after eight seasons. She called it a “mutual decision” between her and Bravo. However, some fans think the network fired her. It was a long time coming for the outgoing television personality. Find out what she has to say about her exit.
Felt scared of leaving RHOBH?
Lisa Rinna recently sat down for an exclusive interview with Interview Magazine. She opened up about her exit from RHOBH for the first time since her announcement. She admitted that Season 12 was “unhealthy” and she had “rough” days ever since. Yet, Lisa feels that she made the right call.
“It’s always a scary thing to leave something. But I always know when I need to do something,” Lisa Rinna told Interview Magazine. “What happened was I left, really, right after the reunion. She shared an interesting tidbit in the interview. For months, rumors swirled that Lisa Rinna left the show following the Season 12 Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion show. Some fans think Bravo quietly fired her around that time.
The former fashion designer confirmed that she exited the show around that time. Yet, she had to keep that a secret, which was one of the most poorly kept secrets in Bravo’s history. Lisa maintains that it was her own decision and not the other way around.
Lisa Rinna talks about the “unhealthy” season
During the interview, the Rinna Beauty founder admitted the last season was “unhealthy” for everyone involved. She had a difficult time moving on. Lisa Rinna mourned the death of her mother Lois on the show. She was also criticized for her behavior, which got worse as time went on.
“I had a rough year. I never think, ‘Oh wow. It’s just a rough year and I’ll never be able to handle it again,'” Lisa Rinna continued. “I can always come back and handle something.”
Most fans are excited to see her gone. They think she brought more drama than she needed to. They wanted to see more of Lisa’s home life and personal life on the show. Yet, she kept most aspects of it private, especially the situation concerning her daughters.
“And I think it’s unhealthy. It wasn’t working for me. It wasn’t right for me,” she concluded.
