Jade Roper Talks Postpartum Romance With Tanner Tolbert
Having children is never easy and couples often struggle with making time for their marriage after babies. Bachelor in Paradise couple Jade Roper Tolbert and Tanner Tolbert are no exception. They are human and want to be sure they are not neglecting their marriage. Jade and Tanner are always open about their relationship and life with fans. When talking about romance in their marriage it’s no different. Jade recently opened up about just that.
Jade and Tanner try to prioritize their relationship
US Weekly caught up with Jade and Tanner recently to talk about life after babies. Tanner and Jade were attending the Vulture Fest: Couples Game Night with Bachelor Nation in Los Angeles. Jade opened up about their marriage and intimacy. She is now just three months postpartum from delivering their son Brooks.
She said, “My body is healed and we do have romantic nights. We do set up time once a week where we try to prioritize each other. We’re doing more date nights, and I think that definitely when there’s more connection that way, there’s more physical connection too, which is important in a marriage.”

Tanner has also brought up intimacy
This past August, Tanner opened up to former Bachelor and close friend, Nick Viall, about his intimate relationship with Jade. He admitted that while his drive to be intimate with his wife is strong, hers is not at the moment.
On the episode of Nick’s podcast, Viall Files, Tanner also said that after Jade stopped nursing their daughter Emerson, she got pregnant pretty quickly. He goes on to say that now they have two children and he doesn’t want his alone time with Jade to be out of pity. Tanner says he also does not want to appear selfish.
Tanner went on to say, “I realize that [Jade’s] priority should be on the kids and not me. But I do feel on the back burner.”

Jade addressed the back burner comments
She addressed the back burner comments and told US Weekly she felt Tanner’s comments got blown out of proportion. Jade says she was never angry with him for what he said. She said, “It’s hard when you’re married and you’re in the newborn stage and you’re just popping out babies. I’ve been pregnant, having babies, or breast-feeding for almost the last three years, so he was just explaining what it’s like to be the male side. … We’ve discussed it in our marriage. It’s something that I already knew he felt.”
Jade and Tanner are fan favorites of the Bachelor franchise. They met and fell in love on Season 2 of Bachelor in Paradise. The two are amazing together and are doing quite well raising their little family. Fans look forward to following Jade and Tanner on their life journey for years to come.
