Chrishell Stause Reveals ‘Unlocked’Relationship, What It Means
Things can be complicated anytime there is a break-up. It is especially challenging when your break-up is with your boss. Chrishell Stause recently announced her new relationship with non-binary musician G Flip. How are they handling the new relationship while still being in a working relationship with Chrishell’s ex? They split in December but Jason Oppenheim is still her Selling Sunset broker and co-star. According to an interview with Vogue, they keep it “unlocked.” However, Daily Pop showed a clip of what they called an “awkward” hug among the three. There is a lot of extra pressure on relationships in the public eye. Chrishell and G Flip offered some insight on how they make it work.
Unlocked
What does being in an “unlocked” relationship look like? Stause says, “It’s when they have the key to your heart, but the walls are down and there are no rules or regulations, just love and support. Plus, it ties into real estate, which is actually quite cute!” The couple is striving to accept each other where each is at. They show their support by having full trust in one another. “There’s just so much love and support there that sometimes other people look at it and if it doesn’t fit into their box, they’re not going to agree with it, or they hate it, or they are going to somehow try to pick it apart,” Chrishell told Vogue magazine. Stause says, “And that’s okay, because that’s going to happen no matter what.” They are even accepting of people who don’t understand their relationship.
Disagreement In the Relationship
While “no rules” is working for the couple now, they have said on PEOPLE Every Day podcast. “Me and Chrishell know where we are in our stages of our lives and we’re very transparent about that.” One of those differences in stages has to do with wanting children. Not in the sense that one wants kids and the other does not want kids, but instead in the timing. E! News quotes the Selling Sunset actress saying, “G knows that I want to be a mom, and I know that that’s not where they are right now in their life.” The main things they always go back to is openness and respect for each other, even despite their differences. The subject of starting a family was one of the main reasons for Jason Oppenheim and Chrishell Stause announcing their split in December. Chrishell Stause shared they weren’t on the same page about starting a family: “Men have the luxury of time that women don’t and that’s just the way it goes.” The good news is that while G Flip isn’t ready for children yet, it’s definitely on their radar. “I definitely see children in my future.” G Flip, 27, and Stause, 40, have the right to be in different places. The greatest advantage is that they continue to discuss and be transparent with their partner.
They are finding their way while both of their lives remain busy. Stause keeps busy with her career while G Flip is living their musician life. They are increasingly in the public eye. In June, Chrishell sported a sheer mini dress with a beautiful neckline as she walked the Critics Choice Real TV Awards red carpet. They reflect on the relationship by saying, “I’m very fortunate to have her in my life.” “We both feel like we’ll be in each other’s life forever. We have like a very strong connection that you don’t find every day.” It is great to see the couple enjoying one another as they navigate their relationship.
