Meri Brown Supports Big Changes For Her Only Child
Meri Brown has not had the easiest relationship with her only biological child. They have struggled throughout the years to come together. However, a big move has brought them extremely close together and it is nothing but love from mama Meri.
Meri Brown Challenges Her Family
From the beginning, it seemed like Meri knew her place in the family. She was Kody’s first and only legal wife. While his second wife Janelle was a breadwinner, his third wife, Christine was the caretaker. She tended to the family and raised the children. As it ultimately turned out, Meri had a connection to the women who would be Kody’s wives. Her brother was married to Janelle. Then, they divorced and she realized she wanted to explore life in polygamy. Christine was friends with the couple and his fourth wife was scouted out by Meri. She spotted Robyn when they were at an event and she encouraged Kody to ask her to dance.
The only difference with Meri was that she struggled to give Kody more than one child. This became an issue between her and her only child who wanted another biological sibling. It did not matter that they had over a dozen half-siblings. In the end, Meri decided against any forms of IVF and surrogacy which was good because her marriage crumbled. She ended up in an online relationship, getting catfished and pretty much destroying her relationship with her only child. It took a very long time for it to rebuild but it somehow survived and now, the two need each other more than ever.
Love One Another
Meri Brown has faced a lot of scrutiny for staying with Kody despite lacking intimacy for the past decade. It is basically a lonely friendship where the duo just exists. Luckily, Meri was able to mend fences with her only child after they came out and got engaged. Now, the support is real as Meri’s child has come out as transgender. Formerly known as Mariah Brown, they now will be known as Leon or Leo. It was initially hard for Meri to accept Leo as being gay since she did not want her child to miss out on anything in this world. Days before Covid shut the world down, the family went to look at wedding venues for Audrey and Leo’s nuptials.
When the pandemic hit, Meri rushed to get them out of the city and to safety. Then, they went to stay at and run Meri’s bed and breakfast which further connected the little circle. Last year, Audrey came out as transgender, and now, Meri is showing her support for Leo/Leon with a sweet post on her Instagram story. She reshared Leo’s story with a big “you are my sunshine” image above it. As to whether this will be portrayed in the next season of Sister Wives is yet to be seen. It really is a twist in their lives from where the show began but a very happy ending.
