‘Ghost Adventures’ Zak Bagan’s Closed On Manson Murder House
Ghost Adventures lead investigator Zak Bagans just purchased the home in California where Charles Manson cult followers horrifically murdered two people. It’s been 50 years since the gruesome murders took place, but the house still holds eery energy. Bagans bought other items in the past which belonged to Manson as well. Now the house with a dark past officially belongs to Zak too.

History of the house on Waverly Drive
The 1920’s house located on Waverly Drive in the neighborhood of Los Feliz is beautiful despite its history. The home is the place Leno and Rosemary LaBianca lost their lives so many years ago. The grocer and his wife were killed on August 10, 1969 by members of Charles Manson’s cult.
People shared Leno was found dead with an ivory-handled carving fork sticking out from his stomach. One of the killers wrote the word WAR on his abdomen. Rosemary’s body turned up in the bedroom. Because of multiple stab wounds, she also died.
On two walls inside the home the words “Death to Pigs” and “Rise” were written. On their refrigerator door the words “Healter [sic] Skelter,” after the Beatles song were seen. Manson used the words to start a war from racial tensions. Manson’s ultimate goal was to start a race war.
The LaBianca murders came just one day after members of Manson’s cult entered the home of Los Angeles film director Roman Polanski. Consequently, they stabbed his pregnant wife, actress Sharon Tate. She died from her wounds. Furthermore, the cult members also shot and stabbed four others.
In 1971 Manson and his followers received life sentences for their crimes. Manson died in prison in 2017.

Zak decided to purchase the infamous home
The Manson house went up for sale on July 10. According to People, Zak said, “When I walked onto the property I was blown away by the panoramic views in the front and backyards … it’s breathtaking.” Bagans went on to say, “Yes the house has a very dark and gruesome history, but I was also intrigued by the energy I felt while there … It was mysterious and palpable.”
The house listed for $1,988,800 in July. Los Angeles Times reported that Zak officially closed on the house in September. He reportedly paid $1,888,888. Apparently, many think 888 is the “angel number.” 888 is a sign of positivity, infinite flow and abundance.
The 1655 square foot, two-bedroom and two-bath home is located near Griffith Park. The property boasts views of the Silver Lake hills and Downtown Los Angeles. Furthermore, the house has a stunning backyard pool.
The Manson house isn’t the only big purchase Zak has made lately. Zak also purchased more than $310K worth of Ghostbusters memorabilia. He plans to display the items in his Las Vegas Haunted Museum.
