Ivan Hall Won’t Return To ‘Bachelor In Paradise,’ Here’s Why
Ivan Hall won’t return to ‘Bachelor In Paradise.’ Why won’t Bachelor Nation fans see him on the upcoming 8th season of the spinoff? Keep reading, and we’ll explain.
Bachelorette alum sent home over religious differences
Ivan Hall was one of the frontrunners for Season 16 of The Bachelorette. In fact, he was Tayshia’s second runner-up. She sent him home unexpectedly after realizing they weren’t compatible.
At the time, she simply chalked it up to religious differences. She went on to get engaged to Zac Clark, but they broke up after a year.
Hall’s tumultuous time in Bachelor Nation was far from over, though. He later hit the beach for Season 7 of Bachelor In Paradise.
The beachy spinoff resumed after two years off due to the coronavirus pandemic.
However, Ivan didn’t stay on the beach for long. He quit the show several weeks into filming after breaking production rules. What rules?
He snuck to another contestant’s hotel room when the cast was sequestered due to a bad storm. The engineer claims he visited Alexa Caves’ room because he was heartbroken over Kendall Long’s exit.
Ivan Hall did apologize for his “mistake” of going around production protocol.
Ivan Hall won’t return to Bachelor In Paradise, here’s why
Season 8 of Bachelor in Paradise just started filming this week. Rather than airing during the summer, it will be on ABC’s fall schedule. Season 19 of The Bachelorette will air this summer instead.
However, fans shouldn’t expect to see Ivan Hall on the upcoming season of BIP. Why not?
The Bachelor Nation fan-favorite found love outside the franchise. He appeared on Us Weekly’s Here for the Right Reasons podcast where he dished on his new lady love.
Well, not-so-new. It turns out the couple was college sweethearts who recently reconnected.
“We dated a little bit, then spent some time apart. She went to med school. I moved to Florida for an engineering job,” he explained about their previous connection.
As fate would have it, she moved to Dallas, Texas, where he lives. They reconnected.
“We are a very good match from the same area,” he said of his new girlfriend, whom Us Weekly didn’t name.

So, Ivan Hall is out of BIP Season 8. Who’s in? Cast spoilers have been few and far between this season. Rumors swirling the internet name Bachelor Nation alums from former Bachelor Peter Weber, to Bachelor Season 26 contestant Salley Carson.
Widower Michael Allio from Katie Thurston’s season of The Bachelorette is at the top of fans’ wish lists.
While ABC has yet to officially announce the cast list, Bachelor creator Mike Fleiss spilled at least one contestant. He took to his Twitter to share a snapshot of the start of BIP filming.
“Back in Paradise,” he wrote. Eagle-eyed Bachelor Nation fans recognized the woman in the photo as Serene Russell from Clayton Echard’s season of The Bachelor.
