‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Season 18 Netflix Release Date Revealed
Grey’s Anatomy wrapped up its dramatic 18th season this May. And now, many fans would love a chance to relive the action, drama, and romance that completely made Season 18.
So when can fans expect to rewatch all the episodes on Netflix? Keep reading to see what TV Shows Ace uncovered.
Grey’s Anatomy drops on Netflix in the US this summer, but not internationally
Whenever Grey’s Anatomy wraps up for the season, fans can generally expect to enjoy the episodes again once Netflix uploads them. Season 18 is officially in the books now, so when will Netflix release the season?
According to What’s On Netflix, the platform will feature Grey’s Anatomy Season 18 episodes on June 25, 2022 in the United States. However, the same can’t be said for viewers in other countries that enjoy the show.
In fact, Grey’s Anatomy will actually be leaving Netflix in most other countries. ABC decided to make it available as part of Disney+ Star in other nations, which means the network is pulling the medical drama from Netflix internationally.
While this move is definitely disappointing for many Grey’s fans who live outside the US, ABC doesn’t seem too concerned about the decision.
Could a spin-off be in the works?
All signs indicate that Grey’s Anatomy will probably come to an end sooner rather than later. ABC did confirm the show will return for a 19th season in the fall. But after that, it’s tough to say. For years, Ellen Pompeo has been trying to bring the show to a close.
But the fanbase isn’t going away any time soon. Could a Grey’s spin-off be possible?
Fans definitely got to see some Japril action during the end of Season 18. When Jackson Avery opted to move to Boston in a previous season, he asked his ex-wife April to go with him. And now, it appears the two are back together.
Many fans probably would be in favor of a Japril spin-off in Boston. Sarah Drew (April Kepner) even said she would be onboard with the idea, although no one has approached her about a script yet.
And this wouldn’t be the first, or even the second time, Grey’s Anatomy had a spin-off. Private Practice explored Addison Montgomery’s journey outside Seattle and it ran for six seasons. Station 19 follows the firefighters of Seattle and the show just wrapped up its fifth season.
So why shouldn’t ABC launch another show in the Grey’s Anatomy universe? Be sure to let everyone know whether or not you want a Japril spin-off.
