Kaitlyn Bristowe Not Approving Of Dual ‘Bachelorette’ Season, Why?
Most fans are excited to see the new season of The Bachelorette featuring Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia. However, there’s one alum who is quite skeptical of the situation. Kaitlyn Bristowe isn’t very approving of the girls having a dual season. In fact, when she heard the news she felt triggered. Keep reading to find out why Kaitlyn isn’t all-in on a dual Bachelorette journey.
Why is Kaitlyn Bristowe disapproving of a dual Bachelorette season?
US Weekly shared what Kaitlyn Bristowe had to say about why she isn’t all on board with a dual season of The Bachelorette. If fans will recall, Kaitlyn’s season of the show started out with two leads. However, on her season, the men were asked to choose between Kaitlyn and Brit Nillson.
So, Kaitlyn said she felt triggered when she learned this season would feature two leads. Kaitly said, “I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, can’t a woman have her own season?’” She continued, “It feels like it was Clare [Crawley] and then she was gone. And then it had to be Tayshia [Adams].” She went on saying, “And then it was Katie [Thurston] and then, back-to-back, Michelle [Young]. And now it’s the two Bachelorettes again.”
Kaitlyn also said, “I just want somebody to have their own season and I just don’t want it to be them pitted against each other.” She explained that she knows how it feels to be in that position with another woman. She recalls feeling like she and Brit were being pitted against each other.
She wants to be there
Kaitlyn also said, “And we could all get weird on what’s acceptable and what’s not in the Bachelor world because, really, that is always a gray area. I just wish I was there for it because I know how it feels!”
However, as fans already know, Kaitlyn and Tayshia were not asked to return to their Bachelorette hosting duties. Instead, the franchise decided to stick with Jesse Palmer as the host.
While they are not hosting this season, Kaitlyn did mention that she and Tayshia were involved with hosting talks. She also said never say never in regards to if the two ladies could return to host one day.
She noted she’s sad she won’t be there to help Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia through what is sure to be a complicated season. Kaitlyn thinks it makes sense to have a woman help them along their journey. Since that won’t happen, Kaitlyn will be cheering the ladies on from the sidelines.
What do you think about Kaitlyn being triggered by the news of a dual Bachelorette season?
