‘Bachelorette’ Meets ‘Below Deck’: Season 19 Aboard Cruise Ship?
Bachelorette meets Below Deck? Read on for more details on the rumors that Season 19 of the ABC show will film on a cruise ship.
Historic two-lead season
According to Bachelor creator Mike Fleiss, the franchise is hitting a series of “historic moments” in 2022. He touted the historic first that no one knew how Clayton Echard’s season of The Bachelor ended.
Now the head honcho is back to tease the historic double lead for Season 19 of The Bachelorette. Earlier this week, Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia were named as the next Bachelorette, plural.
Not much is known about how it will work with joint leads. However, Fleiss told critics to “wait and see.”
Now a new rumor circulating online predicts another first in franchise history – filming the season aboard a cruise ship.
Bachelorette meets Below Deck for Season 19?
In 2013, Bravo debuted a new reality show called Below Deck. The series – now on Season 9 – follows crew members working on a superyacht during charter season.
In fact, Bachelor alum Erica Rose is a repeat guest on the Bravo show.
A few days before the official Bachelorette announcement, an insider took to Reddit to make a shocking claim against the franchise and Virgin Voyages.
According to the complaint, Virgin Voyages canceled a cruise with just “12 days notice.” The cruise ship is rumored to be chartered for the filming of Season 19 of The Bachelorette instead.
The rumor made its way to spoiler guru Reality Steve, who confirmed that it would fit the timing of filming for Season 19.
However, at this point, the network has yet to reveal where the new season of Bachelorette will film.
Season 26 of The Bachelor was the first season to return to the famous Bachelor mansion after the coronavirus pandemic. Seasons 16, 17, and 18 of The Bachelorette were filmed in isolation at various resorts.
Will Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe return to host?
Season 19 of The Bachelorette will premiere on Monday, July 11, 2022.
Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe co-hosted Season 17 and 18 after Chris Harrison left the franchise. However, it seems Jesse Palmer is the official permanent replacement host.
He said during the After the Final Rose special that he will be the host for Season 19, and presumably future seasons of Bachelor in Paradise going forward.
