‘Joe Millionaire: For Richer Or Poorer’: Amanda Pace Dishes On Past & Time On Show
Fans were thrown for a twist when the two men on Joe Millionaire: For Richer or Poorer met the ladies’ families. Amanda Pace is a fan favorite and also very into Kurt Sowers. During the show, her mom announced to the world that perhaps Amanda has more money than the millionaire vying for her heart. Now, Amanda is dishing out details about her past, her money and her time on the show.
Joe Millionaire contestant Amanda Pace talks about her past
The list caught up with Amanda Pace to talk about her background and her time on Joe Millionaire: For Richer or Poorer. Amanda said that while she never pictured herself dating on a reality television show, she decided to give it a try when presented the opportunity.
As for her mom revealing she has millions of dollars, Amanda wasn’t planning on admitting to anyone on the show she had money. In the past, she noted that people are too quick to judge. Amanda doesn’t want anyone to judge her based on her money. If people know one has money they overlook the hard work that’s been put into building a career and business.
Amanda wanted to be known for her work and not that she had a trust fund. She didn’t want anyone to think everything had been handed to her. Amanda said she worked hard to get to where she is.
How Kurt and Steven reacted to her money announcement
Amanda shared that she was nervous at the time about how Steven and Kurt would react to the news of her money. She went on to say that she always thought Steven was the one with money because of farming. So, Amanda became worried Kurt could choose her for her money instead of for love.
She was pleasantly surprised at their reactions. Amanda said, “It was really cute seeing the way Kurt reacted. I feel like more than anything, me and Kurt love to laugh, and so does my family. Seeing them interact like that gave me more clarity that this feels right in the moment.”
Amanda went on to say she loved seeing Kurt interact with her family.
Dating on television and feelings
Amanda said, “In my heart, at that family night, that’s when me and Kurt started to develop feelings,. I would say about two to three days before family weekend. I felt pretty secure, and I won’t let a guy use me for money either.”
She noted she knows how to look for red flags and will continue to do so.
Amanda said when she first joined the show she did not know it was Joe Millionaire. They told them all it was another dating show. Once there they spilled the beans on the real show title and the twist of there being two men.
Now that it’s down to six remaining women, Amanda says the timing seems to be much better. She had said in the beginning there were a lot of downtimes and the timing was way off.
Aside from making some lasting friendships, Amanda says she did learn some things from the experience. She said she learned it’s important to stay true to yourself. Some of the girls are there for the competition of it all and she didn’t want to be like that.
She said, “‘Okay, I’m not going to push something or chase something. If it’s meant to be, I’ll attract it naturally.’ I didn’t go into this being like, ‘I’m going to win.’ I was like, ‘If I vibe with the guys, then let’s see where this goes.’ So, I think just staying true to myself and realizing that you don’t have to chase something. You know? If it’s meant for you, it’ll come.”
Do you think Amanda is a good pick for Kurt? Don’t miss Joe Millionaire: For Richer or Poorer on Fox Thursday nights.
