Clayton Echard In ‘Disbelief’ Over THIS Part Of His ‘Bachelor’ Journey
Clayton Echard shares what part of his journey to love on Season 26 of The Bachelor left him in ‘disbelief.’ Keep reading for all the details.
New Bachelor lead continues to beg fans to give him a chance
Bachelor Nation fans have been loudly expressing their disapproval over Clayton Echard as the next Bachelor. The backlash against ABC’s choice began before the network even confirmed the casting decision.
During the After the Final Rose special following Michelle Young’s season finale, Clayton was in the hot seat. Host Kaitlyn Bristowe introduced him to the audience and then had him read mean tweets about himself.
The next Bachelor lead was a good sport about the stunt. During an appearance on the Here for the Right Reasons podcast, he explained why Bachelor Nation viewers should give him a chance.
He addressed fan reaction to promos showing him dropping the “l-word” to multiple women and confirming intimate encounters with two contestants. Us Weekly reports that Clayton assures viewers that it will all make sense in context.
“Just understand that once the show airs, that whole scene will play out and there will be an explanation and people will then understand — or at least they’ll be able to see the full picture of what actually happened in the way that it did,” – Clayton Echard, Here for the Right Reasons podcast.
Some of the drama that happens on Season 26 wasn’t intended, especially something that left him in ‘disbelief.’
Clayton Echard In ‘Disbelief’ Over THIS Part Of His Bachelor Journey
Season 26 will have a lot of twists and turns, according to Echard. In one of the season’s most explosive moments, The Bachelor lead seems to ask for a rose back from one of the contestants. However, Clayton wouldn’t confirm if he actually goes through with it or if he was just asking host Jesse Palmer if it was possible.
The Bachelor Nation newbie said on the podcast that he often asked the alum for advice. “There were many moments throughout the journey where I was shocked and I was just kind of asking Jesse sometimes these questions of like, ‘Is this something that I can do because this is how I feel?’” Clayton said on the podcast.
However, one moment that took him by surprise and left him in ‘disbelief’ was of his own making. Michelle Young’s former suitor told himself at the beginning of his journey that he wouldn’t fall for multiple women. However, that’s exactly what he did.
Clayton admitted on Here for the Right Reasons that it took him a while to accept breaking his own rule. “One day it hit me, and I was like, ‘I’m in, you know, [I’m] falling in love with multiple women.’ And I kind of started laughing in disbelief.”
While he’s described the season as “chaotic,” he confirmed to E! News that he did find love on his journey. However, he stopped short of confirming an engagement.
How he was ‘humbled’ over the holidays
Clayton Echard may be looking for love – and marriage – on The Bachelor, but does he want kids? Maybe not after the humbling experience he had over the Christmas 2021 holidays!
The Bachelor lead took to his Instagram feed to share a humorous photo of meeting his friend’s daughter for the first time. Based on his caption, it’s clear that he’s used to kids liking him. However, his friend’s daughter wasn’t having it.
“There’s days where you build a pillow fort for kids and you think you might actually be a natural around children. And then there’s days like this where I meet my good friend’s daughter for the first time and she humbles me,” Clayton wrote on Instagram when sharing the snapshots.
