‘Counting On’: John, Abbie Duggar Reveal Baby’s Gender
In early August, John-David and Abbie Duggar of TLC’s Counting On shared that they are expecting their first child together. It’s likely that the baby will be born in late winter or early spring. They have yet to announce the due date. The couple tied the knot in November 2018.
On August 1, the pair shared a post on their joint Instagram account. They wrote, “We are on Cloud 9 about welcoming our own little Duggar into the world!!! It really is amazing to think about being parents and having our own child to raise. We are thankful that God has blessed us with this new life and we look forward to taking on this new adventure!”

They shared the details about how they found out about this pregnancy. It turns out that Abbie wasn’t feeling well. They went to urgent care. The nurse explained that they always do a pregnancy test and that Abbie’s came back positive. They were shocked to find out in this way, but they seem thrilled to be parents soon.
Counting On stars John and Abbie announce baby’s gender
On social media, the Duggar family has been celebrating the news of the new baby on the way. On Tuesday, the Duggar family shared a post on their blog. It included a video of John and Abbie revealing their baby’s gender.
In addition to the Duggar family’s post, Counting On stars John and Abbie shared an Instagram post asking fans to guess the baby’s gender. Later, they shared a post and said, “We couldn’t be more excited to announce…ITS A GIRL!!!”
They shared a cute photo of them kissing. There is pink confetti flying around them. They seem very excited about the news.

There are several pregnant women in the Duggar family right now. This includes Anna Duggar, Kendra Duggar, and Lauren Duggar. They all happen to be pregnant with girls as well and are all due in November. Jessa Seewald just had a daughter earlier this year. Cousin Amy King is pregnant with her first son. Also, Joy-Anna Forsyth was pregnant with a baby girl due in November. Sadly, she lost the baby at 20 weeks gestation.
It’s no surprise that John and Abbie are having a baby girl too! It seems to be a big year for girls in this family.
