‘Bachelor’ Bombshell: Hannah Brown Says Women Knew Colton Underwood Was Gay

Hannah Brown has mixed feelings about Colton Underwood coming out
Bachelor Nation alum Hannah Brown understands why critics are speaking out against Colton Underwood’s Netflix series. Naysayers have been bashing the streaming service for giving the former Bachelor lead a platform after his problematic behavior. After breaking up with Cassie Randolph in May of 2020, he faced accusations of stalking and harassing her.
Appearing on SiriusXM’s The Michelle Collins Show, Hannah Brown admitted that her ex “made a lot of mistakes” in the past. However, she is happy that Colton can finally be himself. The former beauty queen admits that it’s “weird” that she’s coming to his defense “[because] I dated him and he was gay the whole time.”
But did she know he was gay before he came out?

Bachelor Nation fans were shocked when Colton Underwood announced on Good Morning America in April of 2021 that he’s gay. Some fans suspected, but his statements came out of left field for others.
However, Hannah Brown admits on the radio show that it wasn’t a complete surprise to everyone. According to the God Bless This Mess author, “a lot of the girls knew” about Colton’s sexuality. In hindsight, his behavior now makes sense to her, per E! Online.

The Bachelor contestant was a fan-favorite during Season 23. She made it to 7th place before being eliminated. She went on to become the next Bachelorette for Season 15.
Additionally, she competed on – and won – Season 28 of Dancing With The Stars.
Former Bachelor contestant: ‘I like him better as a gay man’
Earlier this year, Hannah Brown became the latest Bachelor Nation star to publish a memoir. God Bless This Mess documented her years as a beauty queen, as well as her failed relationships on The Bachelorette.
Reportedly, the book didn’t delve too far into her entanglement with Colton Underwood. However, during the recent radio interview, she opened up about her feelings about Underwood coming out.
“I’m all about people understanding more of who they are and growing and not being just defined by all their past mistakes,” Hannah said. She summed up her feelings about Colton by saying, “I think I like him better as a gay man.”
