Derick Dillard Makes HUGE Statement Standing Up To Jim Bob Duggar
Derick Dillard has been standing up to his father-in-law, Jim Bob Duggar, for years. So, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that he’s continuing to speak out against him. Over the years, Derick has expressed his thoughts about Jim Bob on social media.
It’s not clear where the conflict began, but Derick and his wife, Jill, have been vocal about not receiving their earned payment for being on Counting On. They eventually had to seek out an attorney to receive some of the money. Jill has been open about not going to her parents’ home often and about setting boundaries with them.
Lately, Derick has been critical of Jim Bob’s decision to run for Arkansas State Senate. He announced his run right before Josh Duggar’s trial, which had fans and critics thinking it was a distraction tactic. Now, Derick has something else to say to Jim Bob, proving that he’s not going to stay silent.

Many fans and critics of the Duggar family agree that Jim Bob is not fit to take the Arkansas State Senate seat, especially amid his son Josh’s child porn conviction. People have been urging him to drop out of the race and focus on his family instead. They think it’s “gross” that he would continue running at a time like this. But Jim Bob never backed out of the race.
There’s currently a petition going around to take Jim Bob off the Arkansas State Senate ballot. Surprisingly, Derick signed the petition too and included a personal message that reads:
“Individuals with a long history of lies and deception do not belong in public office. Candidates need to practice what they preach.”
He also included a bible verse to further get his point across.
Katie Joy of Without a Crystal Ball confirmed with a source that Derick did actually sign the petition. Based on what Katie knows, it’s not just some random person who used Derick’s name. So, these must be Derick’s true thoughts on the matter. It looks like he won’t be voting for Jim Bob in the election.
