Joy-Anna Forsyth Mom-Shamed Over Feeding Evelyn A Choking Hazard
Joy-Anna Forsyth is being mom-shamed for the way she raises her two kids. This isn’t the first time that the Duggar daughter has received backlash over her parenting choices. Some fans and critics fear she’s too young to be a responsible mother and that her kids are going to end up seriously hurt.
In the past, she’s gotten shamed for not putting shoes on her daughter Evelyn, 1, while at a construction site. Fans have also called her and her husband, Austin, out for throwing their son Gideon, 3, too high in the air. While Joy-Anna was pregnant, she rode a four-wheeler without the appropriate shoes and no helmet. There are lots of reasons that fans are concerned for Joy-Anna’s kids’ safety. Now, another new post is receiving some backlash. What happened?
Joy-Anna Forsyth Shares Cute Snap of Gideon and Evelyn.
In a new Instagram post this week, Joy-Anna shared a new photo of Gideon and Evelyn. The adorable little kids are sitting on a chair together on the porch. Each of them is chowing down on a huge slice of pizza. They seem to be enjoying their meal outdoors and don’t seem to be bothered by the large slices.
However, fans and critics are concerned that Gideon and Evelyn, especially, could choke on the pizza.
On Reddit, one Duggar Snark wrote, “Massive slice for Evy, looks like a choking hazard…” Another user chimes in, “A one-year-old baby should not be eating a full sized slice of pizza…. that’s ridiculous.” Someone else adds, “that seems dangerous- like cut up her food!”
Other users are saying that it’s actually developmentally appropriate for Evelyn, as long as her mom is around when she’s eating it. They argue that it’s safer for Evelyn to take bites of a large piece of food than to stuff a smaller piece of food into her mouth at once.
Many of the negative comments on Joy-Anna’s Instagram post are gone, but one fan left an encouraging one, writing, “Ignore the haters! You’re a great mom!”
Joy-Anna has yet to reply to the negative comments, and she doesn’t typically say anything when fans get critical.
