Olivia Jade Promises To Take Lessons She Learned From ‘DWTS’ With Her
Hopefully no one will accuse Olivia Jade of being spoiled or entitled ever again. The 22-year-old influencer hoped to use her time on Dancing With The Stars to prove she moved past the college admissions scandal. She isn’t the girl everyone thought she was.
And during her journey on the show, she managed to change many minds — including her partner Val Chmerkovskiy. But what did Olivia Jade really take away from her DWTS experience?
It’s hard to develop a strong sense of work ethic, but Olivia Jade really has it down now
Olivia Jade wanted to prove she could work hard and she definitely did. She also managed to pick up a few good habits along the journey too.
“I really found a drive and a work ethic that I think I’ve had since I was young, but maybe I haven’t been able to execute in the last few years. So it’s been really nice to find that again,” Olivia Jade told reporters including Page Six after her elimination on Monday.
“Hard work really does pay off, and when you really give something your all and that joy you genuinely feel from doing so, there’s nothing really like it,” the YouTuber continued. “It’s so rewarding.”
She promised to work hard and give every future project her all, citing that DWTS is an experience that will definitely stay with her forever.
Her parents are also pretty proud of how far she went on the show too.
“They are so proud of me for doing this show and they both were just like, ‘Hey, you did it. You tried your best. We’re proud of you for putting yourself out there and we love you,’” she told Us Weekly. “So they’re great. They’re obviously very supportive and I think that they’re just like, ‘OK, she’s probably going to be very sad. So, I’m going to text her some really nice stuff right now.’”
The couple leave with no regrets and it’s the end of an era for Val Chmerkovskiy
Val Chmerkovskiy has been a DWTS fan favorite for years. But he admits that Season 30 was probably his last. He really bonded with Olivia Jade and just doesn’t think he can do another season now.
“I’ve always been very clear about coming back on the show. I love the show. I love being on it. I am so grateful for the opportunity, is this my last season?” Val confided in ET after elimination. “Probably. Probably. I have no regrets about my tenure on the show. I have no regrets about the season. I couldn’t have asked for a better partner to end it with.”
However, he added that life is “dynamic” and that anything is possible.
“There’s no burned bridges, there’s nothing but gratitude, again, with the production, with the show,” the Ukrainian dancer added. “I hope I’ve served the show and this show has definitely changed my life, so it’s mutually love and we’ll see what happens in the future.”
We’re sad that Olivia Jade and Val went home, but don’t forget to tune in and watch the semifinals on Monday night! There are six contestants left to battle it out, so stay tuned for more.
