Katie Thurston makes comedy club debut
The television personality and TikTok sensation expanded her reach on October 22 with a live stand-up comedy routine. She was one of the opening acts for Whitney Cummings. It seems the two bonded during Katie Thurston’s appearance on the comedian’s Good For You podcast.
Clips of the event are still trickling out, so check back with us for updates on her big debut!
Star spills thoughts on tattoos, reunion with fiance
Katie Thurston recently opened up her Instagram DMs to questions from fans. She revealed that one of the most frequent questions she gets is if her lips are au naturale or if she has fillers. According to Thurston, she never has, nor will she ever, get lip fillers. Why not?
Simple. She’s terrified of needles. Another follower asked if she has any tattoos, but Katie circled back to her fear of needles. The fiery brunette is tattoo-free and plans to stay that way.
As usual, fans were curious about her relationship with final rose pick Blake Moynes. The two got engaged at the end of The Bachelorette Season 17. However, they haven’t moved in together. In fact, they don’t even live in the same country. Blake lives in Canada while Katie recently moved to San Diego, California.
Blake traveled to Africa for part of October. When asked when she plans to see her fiance again, Katie hoped for a reunion soon. She was scheduled to fly into Canada the day after her stand-up gig, on Saturday, October 23rd, barring any flight issues or delays. Katie and Blake may be reunited by the time you’re reading this!
Bachelor Nation fans call alum out
Katie Thurston’s appearance on The Bachelorette wasn’t her first attempt at finding love on the dating show. She was a contestant on Matt James’ season of The Bachelor. One of her followers sent in a question seeking Katie’s advice for “girls who are still looking for their special someone.”
The reality TV star encouraged followers to be themselves, but also noted that love will happen when they aren’t looking.
Based on her next video, Katie got some pushback from followers about that advice. Apparently, some called her out because she found love while actively looking by appearing on a dating show.
Thurston didn’t take the criticism lightly.

She repeated her main advice – be yourself, focus on yourself first – and love will find you. “Life happens,” Katie said.
