Todd Chrisley’s dad passed away before show’s huge success
Sadly, Todd Chrisley’s father Gene Raymond Chrisley passed away before Chrisley Knows Best even premiered. The Sun reports that Gene lost his battle with cancer in 2012. The type of cancer isn’t specified. He was just 77 years old. Two years later, the first episode of Chrisley Knows Best airs on March 11, 2014.
However, Chrisley Knows Best fans may feel like they know Nanny Faye Chrisley’s late husband, Gene. This is because members of the family speak about him regularly. They also share fond memories on social media.
Once TV Shows Ace reports on Gene Chrisley’s military services. This report comes after Todd Chrisley shares a photo of his father in uniform. The doting son writes the following:
Found this today of my dad during his stint in the army, he was 16, I am proud of his sacrifices and will never take them lightly.”
In the comment section, fans notes which of the Chrisley men they think resemble Gene Chrisley. One of the first things that pops up is that Grayson and Gene Chrisley resemble each other tremendously. Some even think that Todd Chrisley’s dad and looks just like Jackson, Lindsie Chrisley’s son.
Did Nanny Faye ever date again
When it comes to Nanny Faye Chrisley, it doesn’t seem like she’s seriously dated since Todd Chrisley’s dad passed. At one point, Chrisley Knows Best follows along as Nanny signs up for the online dating site, Christain Mingle.
As to be expected, Todd doesn’t like this when he finds out. In true Todd fashion, He shares, “I’m sure the guy that was there with my mom is a very nice gentleman. But he’s not my dad. My mother has never dated anyone in her entire life other than my dad.”
Nanny Faye has gone on a couple of dates, but it doesn’t seem like any of them have turned into long-term relationships. While looking at an online dating site with Kyle, they both agree that “no one looked as good as Gene did.” Nanny also says, “she’s never going to find another man like him.”
