‘Welcome To Plathville’: Are Ethan And Olivia Still Separated Or Back Together?
TLC’s Welcome to Plathville stars Ethan and Olivia Plath have given viewers a look into their relationship throughout the show’s three seasons. They have faced plenty of conflict, especially with Ethan’s parents, Kim and Barry Plath.
Recent episodes have shown the young couple experiencing difficulties within their relationship. Most recently, Ethan listed their home in Cairo, Georgia for sale. Of course, new episodes air after these events have happened in real-time. Between filming and production, as well as TLC’s schedule, the show may be months behind the family’s real lives.
So, fans are wondering where Ethan and Olivia are right now because the show isn’t caught up to their real lives yet.

Olivia has been open about going to therapy.

Because the show isn’t caught up with where Ethan and Olivia really are, fans are looking for an update. The pair previously chose to separate so they could work through some things. On the show, Olivia told Ethan that they needed to be in separate homes for a while. She said it was all about “allowing you space to grow as an individual and allowing me space to grow as an individual, with the hopes that we get back together,”
In an August interview with Us, Ethan and Olivia gave fans a look into their relationship today. They have been working on their relationship, and things are improving. Ethan said, “I would say we’re doing much better than some scenes that you’ll see coming up in the season for a number of reasons — definitely couples counseling, but just where we’re at in life, working through things.”
“When we started the season, pretty much, like, everything [was] not going well at all and kind of came to a head within the first few weeks,” Olivia added. “It also means that as uncomfortable as the first few episodes and scenes are going to be, it gets a lot better. It gets worse before it gets better. … We’re in a much better place now.”

I get very tired of them and the way they treat Ethans parents horrible it seems to me that maybe she had trouble with her own parents and is taking it out on Berry and Kim and turning her husband against them they should have some respect maybe they aren’t perfect but they are his parents
I feel bad for Ethan and Olivia. It’s sad how his parents have treated his wife from the beginning. They don’t like her due to her showing Ethan different things that he missed out on while living with his parents.
I think Kim wants to or has to be in control of everything & everyone. Just my opinion
Young couples have their ups and downs adjusting. It is up to the couple to start with a sound foundation and grow from there. It never helps to add a family in a budding relationship and for the parents not to accept the partner because they are not exactly like what their spouse grew up with. When the family children go out on their own they will also be trying things that they were not allowed to do in their (in this case controlled) parents home. People need to be a little more accepting. The parents in America are not supposed to pick the partner for their children. It is up to the person who they choose to marry. What happens as in this case the parents are estranged.
