Dancing With The Stars Season 30 won’t feature Keo Motsepe, but he’s looking on the bright side
Keo recently sat down with Us Weekly to discuss his involvement with the series. He’s definitely disappointed but trying not to let the casting decision bother him too much.
“While it’s disappointing to not be back for Season 30, I’ve been honored to be on the last nine seasons of the show and look forward to returning in the future,” the South African dancer told Us Weekly in an exclusive interview. “There’s a great group this season and I wish all the dancers and the show the best of luck!”
He added that he has several projects to work on in the meantime, so he won’t be bored at home.
But Keo isn’t the only one who feels sad he isn’t returning. A DWTS insider reportedly also Us Weekly that the other pros are going to miss Keo and Peta on the set this year.
“It’s heartbreaking to the other pros that he won’t be back since he’s good friends with most of them,” the inside source said. “Keo loves being a pro and being part of DWTS, but also feels this opens the door for him to expand into other things he’s been working toward.”
Anyone who follows Keo online knows that he and pro dancer Gleb Savchenko are really close. Gleb made the Season 30 cast list and will undoubtedly miss having his best buddy backstage.
Other pros are going to miss the missing dancers too
Lindsay Arnold and Witney Carson are back after taking last season off for maternity leaves. They’re both happy to have spots on the show this season, but will really miss Keo and Peta too.
“It’s always so hard because we truly are a family and we love each other so much,” Lindsay recently told ET. “I talked to Peta quite a bit, sending all the love to her, and then I actually just texted Keo this morning just saying that I love him, I hope I get to see him soon and I hope he’s doing well.”
Dancing With The Stars Season 30 premieres on ABC on September 20. Be sure to tune in and see the rest of the professional dancers compete. Are you going to miss Keo and Peta? Be sure to leave your ideas in the comments below.
