Keo Motsepe Mourns The Loss Of A Close Loved One
The past year was pretty difficult for most of us. Just because we entered a new year doesn’t mean the pain and heartbreak will end. Dancing With The Stars pro Keo Motsepe recently revealed on his Instagram story his mother passed away.
The dancer wrote, “I am gonna miss you mama,” followed by a heart emoji. “I love you #RIP.”
ET reports that Keo briefly went live on Instagram this morning revealing that he received terrible news, without going into detail.
Keo Motsepe Planned To Have An Excellent Year
Needless to say, this is not how Keo Motsepe wanted to begin the year. Just a few days ago, he seemed very hopeful about the start of 2021.
Earlier this week, the dancer posted a collage of fond memories he made in 2020. Even though it was a rough year for most people, he found some things to smile about.
“While there are no words to describe the many challenges 2020 had in store for us, I find myself inspired by not only those I hold close to my heart but humanity,” he wrote. “This year more than ever, I’ve seen people come together like never before, and while uncertainty is still in the air, I hope we continue being there for each other. Thank you all for your kindness and love, and may 2021 bring you joy, health and light 🙏”
Close Friends May Help Him Get Through This Tough Time
In 2020, Keo got to compete in another Dancing With The Stars season and even met his new girlfriend, Chrishell Stause. In late December, the couple spent some time on a romantic getaway in Mexico. He even spent Christmas with her family and wore matching pajamas with everyone else.
Although the loss is painful and tragic, it may actually bring Keo and Chrishell closer together. Chrishell lost her own mother in July 2020. She spoke about her mother’s death multiple times in rehearsal packages and used the pain she felt to fuel performances.
Christmas 2020 was certainly painful for Chrishell, as it was the first one she spent without her mother. Having Keo around seemed to ease the pain a little.
But Chrishell isn’t the only person Keo has to lean on. He and Dancing With The Stars pro Gleb Savchenko are incredibly close and he will likely rely on him for support. After all, Keo has been there for Gleb throughout his high profile divorce.
The rest of the Dancing With The Stars cast has his back too. Things may be rough for him, but having a strong support network always helps.
After Keo has some time to grieve, he may be willing to share more information with fans about his mother’s passing. Either way, this is an incredibly sad story and our thoughts are with him.
