Tayshia Adams Ignores NYC Quarantine Rules, Visits Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree
It’s been a whirlwind week for Tayshia Adams! On Tuesday, December 22, 2020, the world watched as The Bachelorette reached the end of Season 16. She could finally reveal her engagement to suitor Zac Clark. Before that, the couple had been secretly quarantining together in California.
On the morning of Christmas Eve, the happy couple hopped a plane and flew to New York City, where Clark lives and works. New York has strict rules in place for people traveling to the state from other states.
However, the happy couple seemingly flouted those rules and immediately took to the streets of NYC.
Tayshia Adams & Zac Clark Ignore Mandatory Quarantine Rules
When the coronavirus pandemic hit the U.S. earlier this year, New York City had the highest number of cases. With the help of a mask mandate and social-distancing, the numbers came down significantly over the summer. However, they are on the rise again. As a result, New York City is hardly the tourist town it usually is.
For one, the restaurants are closed to indoor dining. Beloved holiday traditions, such as the Rockettes’ Christmas shows, are shuttered. Tourists CAN visit NYC, but there isn’t much to do.
Furthermore, travelers are supposed to quarantine upon arrival. The number of days varies, from 3 to 14 depending. If visitors show proof of a negative COVID test, they can quarantine for just 3 days. Otherwise, they must quarantine for two weeks.
In fact, passengers from inbound flights have to provide their contact information for contact tracing and accountability.
However, it seems those rules don’t apply to Tayshia Adams or Zac Clark. They traveled to NYC to spend time with his family for the holidays, but immediately took to the streets instead of abiding by the quarantine rules.
The Bachelorette Couple Visits Rockefeller Center
The Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center is a HUGE draw for the holidays. The crowds are typically shoulder-to-shoulder, but this year is a little different. There are barriers within a certain distance from the tree. Pedestrians can take photos from behind the barriers. But to get closer to the tree, visitors must get tickets in advance and limit the number of their party to four.
Both Adams and Clark shared videos from Rockefeller Center on their respective Instagram Stories.
In the video, Tayshia Adams excitedly approaches the barriers protecting the tree. She is adhering to Governor Cuomo’s mask mandate by wearing a mask.
Tayshia Adams Scours NYC for the ‘Perfect Tree’
Before the Bachelorette visited the Rockefeller tree, Adams went on the hunt for their own Christmas tree. She shared several videos of herself walking down the streets of New York City, looking for a tree.
While she had a mask on the entire time, she was clearly NOT in quarantine as New York State requires.
The couple were celebrating their first Christmas together and shared a selfie to document it. Underneath the photo, she wrote, “XO, Clarky & The Queen.” People magazine reports that those are their nicknames for each other.
