‘When Calls The Heart’ Return Date Revealed: Here’s A Sneak Peek
When Calls The Heart Season 6 is finally returning to Hallmark, without Lori Loughlin. Devoted #hearties who have been longing to return to Hope Valley, will finally be able to watch the remaining season. Erin Krakow, who plays Elizabeth Thatcher Thornton announced the return on video, along with a sneak peek. When does WCTH return?
When Calls The Heart Returns For Two-Nights
Hallmark is bringing back their number one show for a special two-night return. Executive producer Brian Bird announced on Instagram that the show was returning. In a lengthy statement, he explained that WCTH would be returning with a new episode airing on both May 5th and on May 6th. After that, the remaining episodes would be returning to their familiar Sunday night time slot, for the duration of the Season 6.
“#Hearties, thanks for sticking with us through this challenging time. As you now know… the show not only must go on, but will go on, starting Sunday night, May 5th and Monday night, May 6th, and then in our regular Sunday night time slot after that through the remainder of Season 6.”
“Life throws all of us painful curveballs, and the only way to survive is to walk right through them with courage, grace, a forgiving spirit, and most of all, hope. Many of you have wondered what the future holds for our cast and crew, and for the citizens of Hope Valley. Your care and concern means the world to us, and the best way we can thank you is to encourage you the way you encourage us because… Hope always lives here. #WhenCallsTheHeart #WCTH #Hearties”

Will Lori Loughlin Be On Any Future Episodes?
Lori Loughlin’s and her character Mayor Abigail Stanton have been edited out, according to Entertainment Weekly. The publication explained that the WCTH producers did some “creative editing,” along with some “minor reshoots” in order to completely edit out Lori Loughlin from the remaining episodes. It does not appear that another actress has replaced Lori. Fans will need to watch the new episodes to learn the fate of Abigail Stanton.
WCTH was indefinitely pulled on March 14, after the Lori Loughlin college admission scandal. Devoted #hearties have been patiently waiting to see how the show would deal with her firing from Hallmark. Although Lori’s other big series, Garage Sale Mystery was canceled in the midst of filming the 17th episode, the When Calls The Heart producers and even some of the cast went to social media to assure #hearties that the show would indeed return.
There were many theories on who would replace Lori, or how the producers would deal with her firing. They show writers may have Abigail leave Hope Valley in the reworked episodes, and replace Lori with a new actress, should there be a Season 7. As for now, fans will be thrilled to watch a sneak peek from the upcoming episodes.
One Less Episode Of WCTH Season 6
Three episodes had aired prior to the Lori Loughlin scandal, but after the edits, only six more episodes remain for Season 6. It appears that the original tenth episode, “Two of Hearts,” will not be airing altogether. Clearly, the non-Lori Loughlin material was incorporated into the earlier episodes. There is no indication whether the WCTH producers will make up the loss in a future single episode, or should they be renewed for Season 7, they could make that an 11-episode season.

Thank you to the writers and actors/actresses for not leaving. If I were a writer, I would send Abigale to a beloved aunt’s who has no other heir. She would be expected to take care of this aunt through and extended illness, and just never return. I would then have an election and elect a new mayor.
I’m thinking, about killing her off after she left town on official business and was killed on her way home, leaving Cody without his mother, Lee and Rosemary take him in and adopt him.
i would replace with another abigail i dont fell bad for lori loughton she never even said she was sorry for what she did and never even said sorry to all her fans she is walking around like she did nothing wrong i will never watch anything she is in shame on her
