‘DWTS’ Erin Andrews Shares Embarrassment Over Job Loss
Erin Andrews lost her job with Dancing With the Stars prior to the start of Season 29. Obviously news of that nature can’t be easy for anyone. And, she hasn’t talked much about how she felt hearing the news until now.
Erin talks about her feelings finding out she lost the DWTS gig
US Weekly shared details about what Erin had to say. First off, Erin said she strongly believes everything happens for a reason. However, hearing the news was hard.
Erin said, “Nobody wants to be let go when it’s not on their terms, but I do think there’s something on the horizon. I’m definitely working my people to find something and put something on the horizon.” She continued, “I really enjoyed being in that space and I think I’m somebody that, you know, as much as I do love sports — I’m a fan of a lot of things, reality TV, I’m just a fan of TV and so, I think that’s why Dancing was a great fit for me because, you know, it was live. You didn’t know what was going to happen.”
She felt totally blindsided when she got the call that she would no longer be on the hit TV show. When she got notified she was out golfing with her husband. Erin said she felt sorry for herself. She was thinking what an awful time it was to lose her job with everything going on in the world. She knows she will find something. However, she said it was huge bummer.

What is her dream job?
Erin shared she would love to host a game show someday. Or, even better, she would love to be on a talk show and host with Kevin Hart. She said, “We mesh, but we are also so different in so many ways. I’m 42, I’ve only been married for three years, we’re trying to have kids, I’m trying to keep this dog afloat and also have a career. So I think that would work so well with Kevin Hart making fun of me, but he won’t listen to me.” Erin went on to say, “Apparently he’s got a good thing carved out.”
As far as the current job situation, she knows things could be so much worse. She said she has no right to be selfish when people have lost so much more because of Covid-19.
