What Happened to the Home Owned By Teddi Mellencamp Where Pop Smoke Was Murdered?
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Teddi Mellencamp continues to play musical houses. Months after a murder in one of her rental properties, the accountability coach off-loaded the home.
RHOBH Star Owned Home Where Rapper Pop Smoke Died
Back in February, the rapper Pop Smoke (real name: Bashar Barakah Jackson) was murdered by four men during a home invasion. Bravo fans were confused when Teddi Mellencamp’s name trended in relation to the murder. While she had nothing to do with the murder, she did have a connection to the house.
It turns out that Teddi owned the home and was leasing it out through a third-party leasing company. At the time, Teddi was VERY pregnant. So, at first, fans thought she had given birth.
The RHOBH star did give birth to her daughter Dove a few days later.
Teddi expressed her condolences to Pop Smoke’s fans and family in her statement about the murder. However, she didn’t appear to personally know him.
Early in the investigation, there was speculation that social media photos of the home were behind the robbery. All four of the culprits involved in the murder-robbery have since been apprehended and charged.
‘Murder House’ Sold After Two Months After Listing
The RHOBH star put the house on the market 5 months after the murder for almost $3 Million, per The Blast. Surprisingly, the home sold very quickly, despite the recent tragedy. The outlet notes that the home is now in escrow.
The Blast reports that the home has four bedrooms and 2,918 square feet. It includes an infinity pool overlooking bustling Los Angeles.
Teddi Mellencamp Enlists Kyle Richards’ Husband and Daughter to Sell Other Home
How many homes does Teddi Mellencamp own?! The reality star recently listed her Hollywood Hills mansion. The real estate agents? Mauricio Umansky and Farrah Aldjufrie. Her RHOBH co-star Kyle Richards’ husband and daughter!
The home is on the market for over $6 million. The couple and their three children (Dove has two older siblings) are moving on up… to Encino. RHOBH alum Camille Grammer recently shaded all of her former co-stars for not actually living in Beverly Hills.

I think calling it The Murder House is incredibly insensitive.
Someone’s son is dead.
Have a heart. Damn.
Hey Jen,
Whether you made up the name “Murder House” or are simply repeating someone else’s genius, consider that real lives are involved.
“On February 19th, at 4:00 AM, a gun was used to take my son from me. You know him as Pop Smoke, we called him ‘Shar’. Because of gun violence, I’ll never see my son run up the front of our steps, taking them two at a time; he won’t ever take my hands again and dance with me; he won’t come into my room and muscle pose in the mirror. Gun violence destroys families. It must stop.”
— Audrey Jackson during a “Gun Violence Destroys Families” public service announcement
Again, have a heart.
But, oh wait, empathy is not what sells is it?
