Savannah Guthrie Leaves Co-Star In Tears Over Motherhood

Savannah Guthrie returned to the Today Show in April after taking a step back in the early days of her mother’s disappearance. She said upon her return that coming back was a way to honor her mom. Nancy Guthrie is still missing. Savannah Guthrie made a rare mention of her mother recently when it was revealed that the morning program is moving.

While Savannah Guthrie doesn’t talk about her mom a lot on TV, she does talk about her own kids quite often. She shares two kids, Vale and Charley, with her husband, Michael Feldman. The Today Show host had her children in her 40s. While filling in for Sheinelle Jones, Savannah Guthrie and Jenna Bush Hager began talking about Lady Gaga’s recent baby news.

The singer, 40, privately had her first child with her fiancé. Savannah Guthrie shared how lucky she felt to have her own children later in life. “I had my babies in my 40s, which I think is a great time to have your kids. I mean, I didn’t plan it that way, but that’s how life turned out,” she told Jenna.

“I still feel like just so profoundly lucky that I got to have my kids, and I was so late in life to do it. I mean, I had Charley and then turned 45 two weeks later,” Savannah added before noting that her co-star was tearing up. Jenna Bush Hager joked, “I’m tired and an empath. It’s just like you never know when a tear is gonna sprout.”

Savannah Guthrie loves being a mom. Jenna Bush Hager can relate, having three kids of her own. The sweet moment showed the bond between the co-hosts, who often refer to themselves as family.
