Kim Zolciak On Hook For $150K In Lawsuits Amid Son’s Legal Drama
Former Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kim Zolciak’s problems continue to get worse. It was just revealed that she was named in two separate lawsuits totaling $150K. This comes as she and her family are dealing with her son KJ’s legal drama. So, who does she owe money to now? Keep reading for more details.
Kim Zolciak Needs To Pay Up
For years, Kim Zolciak has been at the center of money problems. She has had a gambling and shopping problem, which has never been a secret. It got so bad that her family’s Georgia mansion was repeatedly at risk of foreclosure. Cars were repossessed, and she created an online closet that featured pricey items that she, her husband, and their six children no longer used. She even sold her human hair wigs to try to make ends meet. Ultimately, Kim and her husband, Kroy Biermann, split and are in the middle of a contentious divorce.
At the same time, their son, KJ, 15, was arrested on August 17th for alleged sexual battery. He will be arraigned on October 14th, but amid all of this, Kim has been hit with two lawsuits. One was for an old business that she and Kroy had, 8 Busy B’s LLC. Per Headway Capital, Kim never repaid them, so they want $74,983.89 in principal plus $55,650.14 in interest. She was set to have a hearing on August 8th, 2026, but it was canceled and has yet to be rescheduled.
Then, Kim Zolciak also owes $16,759.51 because she failed to repay a credit card debt. Portfolio Recovery Associates is now in charge of this debt, and allegedly, they attempted to serve her 10 times but to no avail. On August 22nd, a final attempt to serve the RHOA alum was made, and again, no luck. Calls were even made to Kim regarding this second suit, along with in-person visits, but again, no luck. The exact total for both debts and suits is $147,393.54.
A Lot On Her Plate
Kim Zolciak does have a lot on her plate as her son, KJ, waits for his arraignment, which was pushed back a month. She has fiercely defended him and made it clear that he is innocent, as any mother would do. However, those who have followed her money troubles over the years know that she has a habit of avoiding debts. She acts like they do not exist and that the creditors are the problem; that they will just go away. So, the avoidance likely has nothing to do with KJ’s legal drama and everything to do with Kim being Kim. Hopefully, she can resolve this sooner rather than later.
