Fox News’ Jessica Tarlov Opens Up On Co-Stars After Contract Extension
Jessica Tarlov is known to many for her work with Fox News’ The Five. Through her time on the show, viewers have seen her offer a contrast to her co-stars. Recently, she opened up about what it’s like working alongside her co-stars, following a recent update with her career.
The Five‘s Jessica Tarlov Recently Signed A New Contract With The Network
Tarlov is known for her work with Fox News, particularly serving as a panelist on The Five. First appearing on the network in 2014, she often offers contrast with her co-stars on the show with her more liberal background.
On the show, Tarlov has worked alongside Greg Gutfeld, Dana Perino, and moderator Jesse Watters. In addition, Emily Compagno was announced as a new panelist, taking over for Jeanine Pirro.

Viewers can expect to see Tarlov on the show for quite some time. Recently, it was announced that she has signed a new contract with Fox News, giving her a three-year extension.
Tarlov might not always agree with the other panelists, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have anything nice to say about them. In a recent interview with Marie Claire, Tarlov spoke well of her co-stars, sharing, “It’s always a great affirmation of your seat at the table. No matter how contentious it looks or difficult or terrible to some people, that you’re a valued element in this discourse.”
During the discussion, Tarlov shared that she usually gets about 90 seconds to respond to arguments on the show, meaning she needs to be precise. She shared that she sometimes opens with a quip disguised as a compliment, which she calls an “olive branch.” She added, “If I’m going to get 90 seconds, I want to make the most of it.”
Tarlov Shared That She Often Interacts With Some Of Her Co-Stars & Their Families Away From The Show
However, Tarlov described her panelists as friends, but they don’t let this get in the way of their discussions on the show. As she expressed, “Jesse Watters and Greg Gutfeld actually care about me as a person. And that doesn’t make them soften their political opinions. Even though I think that they should in some cases, especially when they’re enormously wrong.”
Tarlov even revealed that she often meets with her co-stars away from work. This included texting regularly with Gutfeld, even attending his daughter’s first birthday party. Tarlov also texts with Watters’ wife, Emma DiGiovine. She also recently went out to a dinner and a Broadway show with Perino and Compagno.

When asked about how she balances friendship with politics, Tarlov felt, “‘[It’s about] fundamentally understanding them as people. And how they think about politics.” She also shared that people shouldn’t be viewed as “a set of political opinions.” She also felt that some of her co-stars, “in particular Jesse and Greg, don’t think that politics is the most important thing in the world.”
