Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding was the wedding of the year, if not the decade. Millions of people watched Princess Diana marry Prince Charles in 1981. Imagine how many would tune in for a glimpse at the “Love Story” singer’s fairytale wedding. A guest at the nuptials revealed a huge clue that the wedding was filmed for Netflix. Keep reading for all the details.

Travis Kelce Explains Madison Square Garden Choice

Travis Kelce proposed to Taylor Swift in August 2025, about two years after they began dating. Their much-hyped wedding took place on July 3, 2026, at Madison Square Garden in the heart of New York City. Hosting your wedding at one of the most famous sports venues in the country was an interesting choice. The couple needed a place to fit their huge guest list. About 1,000 people attended the ceremony officiated by actor Adam Sandler.

While Taylor Swift is on a break from touring, Travis Kelce is back to work already. The NFL season is about to start and he returned to the New Heights podcast he co-hosts with his brother, Jason Kelce. The Kansas City Chiefs player described the wedding as “magical.” Travis Kelce didn’t share many details, but he gave a huge shout-out to Madison Square Garden and its staff.

“We wanted to do it somewhere where we could have a very intimate and genuine setting without a lot of distractions. And we needed it to be a private feel. And MSG went above and beyond to give us that,” he said about why they chose the sports venue as their wedding location.

But a wedding guest revealed that MSG was also the perfect location to film for a docuseries.

Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce Reportedly Filmed Wedding For Netflix

Travis Kelce did reveal that guests were banned from taking photos or videos on their cell phones. In fact, they weren’t allowed to bring their phones at all. The NFL player shared how that made the wedding even more special.

“It was so cool to see how everybody interacted, and with no phones comes people not having to be on guard. It makes everyone be in the moment and be present,” Travis Kelce said about the no-phones rule.

Guests weren’t allowed to take photos, and the couple hasn’t shared any from their wedding. However, that doesn’t mean photographs weren’t taken. According to Page Six, multiple guests reported cameras filming throughout the entire wedding. One eyewitness to the wedding said it looked like a movie set. “I hope she makes a Netflix special or something,” the wedding guest said.

There was a lot of online speculation in July that the couple was filming the wedding for a documentary or docuseries. Taylor Swift previously filmed several documentaries for Netflix and Disney+. Would you watch? Tell us in the comments.
