“When you make statements that are that hardcore and to a large extent counteractive to the presentation you’ve been making, you do understand in country music that half or more of your audience may disown you,” John Rich told Benny Johnson on The Benny Show.
“They may turn their back on you. They may stop listening to you… But you make the statement anyway,” the “Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy)” singer said.

If Biden had been president, they would have been jokes about Biden. Check out Colbert’s or Kimmel’s shows when Biden was President, or their Obama imitations. A late night TV host’s job is to make roasts and jokes. But those presidents had thick skins, so they didn’t draw attention to the jokes.
