Jelly Roll Disinvited From Big Blue Bash, Replacement Announced
Jelly Roll has caught major heat after making some President Trump jokes during his Jimmy Kimmel Live! hosting stint. He had been invited to perform at the Big Blue Bash, but that invitation has since been rescinded. Now, his replacement has been announced, but who will take his place? Jelly Roll Replaced For Blue Lives Matter
When Jelly Roll was announced as one of the guest hosts during Jimmy Kimmel’s hiatus, viewers were torn. He had filled in before and did a good job, but politically, he appears to be right-leaning. Therefore, no one was sure how he would fare with the jokes and whether he could poke fun at the current administration. Moreover, how he would handle current hot topics, but he did better than expected. In fact, he made a joke at President Donald Trump’s expense.
He noted that based on how much weight he lost, he essentially had lost a whole President Trump. Then, he said:
“Mr. President, from one fat pig to another, take it from me that physical fitness is very important.”
That really stirred the pot because it was taken as though he was calling the president a pig. Finally, Jelly Roll talked about the president’s approval rating. He noted that it seemed America also would like to lose him, so that was the icing on the cake. Because of what he said when he was hosting Jimmy Kimmel Live!, an invitation to perform at the Second Annual Big Blue Bash was rescinded. It is to be held at Mar-a-Lago, but since the organizers do not feel that he is a true patriot, they’ve found someone else. Coffey Anderson will take his place because he holds true to their values.
Losing Support For Jelly Roll
Over time, Jelly Roll has lost some support for his values and beliefs. Then, he filed for divorce from Bunnie Xo, and many stated that he would never have fans without her. However, no one can dispute how much he gives back. He helps out with mental health foundations and visits prisons to offer inspiration. So, there is a lot of good within him. Yet, he likely never could have imagined the backlash he would have received from doing his job on Jimmy Kimmel.
After it was announced that he had been let go from the Big Blue Bash and that there was a replacement, many supported this:

- Here’s my take on this: Jelly Roll read from a teleprompter, he didn’t write the jokes. In my opinion, I don’t see that he did anything wrong.

Everyone has the right to their own political views. Jelly has done good for so many people over the last few years. He is a great singer/songwriter. He gives back to his community, and he actually cares about people in need. Judging someone for their beliefs and views is not Christian like in the first place. Our president has disrespected more people in this country then anyone. Get over it!
There seems to be some conflation of “judging” and “responding” with a different opinion. People with different opinions have just as much right to their opinions as Jelly to his. Telling those who have different opinions to “get over it” is the epitome of hypocrisy.

If celebrities should stay out of politics, EVERYBODY should stay out of politics. They are citizens and voters just like everybody else. You have no right to tell them that they can not be involved in nor speak about issues related to politics. You can refuse to partake of whatever their celebrity is built upon, but that is the limit to what you can do, and you need to HOLD to that limit!

So much so.. it broke his marriage being truthful and authentic. When you lose things in your quest for spirituality… you accept it might have been by design. No matter what or who you believe in… honesty becomes #1. Honest with yourself first… then through examining your life, honesty about everything else. It’s a process for sobriety also. They wll work together.

Celebrities need to stay out of politics or making crude remarks. Jelly rolls remarks were vulgar, and while everyone can make fun of Trump or any other politicians the remarks were not called for and were crude. One celebrity who was brilliant in not being dragged into remarks even when taunted was Dolly Parton. She was a class act, Jelly Roll is not.
