‘Love After Lockup’ Amber Eggers Dead At 41, Details
In a sad and tragic twist, Love After Lockup star Amber Eggers has passed away at the tender age of forty-one. She had worked incredibly hard to get her life back on track, and it looked like she was doing a very good job. However, fans and followers knew that she was having some health struggles. Amber Eggers Almost Died A Year Ago
In 2025, the Love After Lockup star was on life support. Fans of the show and her co-stars were terrified, as she was a fan favorite. Moreover, she had been arrested in December 2024 for a DUI, so there was concern that she had relapsed. On the show, she had learned that she had some health issues that she needed to be mindful of, but her ICU stay was due to untreated pneumonia, which led to sepsis and organ failure. It looked like she may not make it, but she is incredibly resilient.
Then, in 2026, things took a turn. In July 2026, Amber suffered a mini-stroke, and on September 1st, she was readmitted to the hospital. Sadly, her body could not take anymore and she passed away. Per a post on @merrypants’ social media:
“Amber Eggers has lost her fight today and passed away. The doctors did everything they could, but in the end, her body just couldn’t keep fighting. And if you knew Amber, you know she is a fighter. Amber was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday Sept 1st with liver failure. The doctors did everything they could, but in the end, her body just couldn’t keep fighting.”
No one wants to believe that this is real, and the tributes immediately poured in. She had formed a romance with her Love After Lockup co-star, Puppy, while they were incarcerated. They had their ups and downs, as Puppy could never stay on the straight and narrow. However, Amber was working hard and staying in control of her sobriety, so this is a tragic twist.

Amber Eggers was a staple on Love and Life After Lockup. Many connected with her and really hoped that she would do great things. Sadly, that was cut short, and this is so unbelievable. Immediately, tributes have poured in for Amber:
