'Today' Al Roker Has Fans Seeing Double With Lookalike On Show

Al Roker is known for his famous look, especially his iconic glasses. However, he’s not necessarily the only one with that look, in a manner of speaking. During a recent episode of Today, he gave fans a shock when he ran into his own double. Interestingly, he might not be the only Today star with a doppelgänger.

Today‘s Al Roker Recently Met With A Somewhat Familiar Face At 30 Rockefeller Plaza

Roker is a famous weather presenter known for his work on Today. He has also served as a co-host on the morning show’s third hour.

Over the years, Roker has occasionally interviewed and met with all sorts of figures throughout his time on the show. During a recent episode of Today, however, he met someone who could be his own alter-ego.

While out meeting fans at 30 Rockefeller Plaza, one fan’s sign really caught Roker’s attention. It read, “I’m married to Al Roker’s twin,” and featured photos of Roker alongside a couple named Shirley and Percy.

Walking over to meet the pair, Roker joked, “I feel badly for this woman over here, because she’s married to ‘Al Roker’s twin.’” Speaking with Shirley, Roker asked, “How horrible is that?” Shirley disagreed, assuring, “It’s not bad.” When Roker asked if Percy was a “good man,” she confirmed, “Yes, he is.”

Roker Isn’t The Only Today Star Who Shared That They Were Told That They Had A Double Somewhere

For his part, Roker was actually surprised to find that Percy indeed resembled him. He asked, “Have people told you, you think, that I look like you?” When Percy confirmed that “a lot of people” had, Roker quipped, “Do people come up and just slap you? For a blown forecast?”

Roker said goodbye to the couple, sharing, “I hope it’s been as wonderful as it appears to be.” He added, with his tongue firmly in cheek, “We love that. Wow. That’s freaky.” He then teased that the only thing worse would be if Percy had “Jenna’s freeze-frame” on him.

The moment was shared on social media by the show’s official YouTube channel. Some fans expressed surprise at the moment, with one writing, “Oh my gosh! Al has a twin out there.”

However, as the Today website noted, Roker isn’t the only Today star to have such a lookalike. Former co-anchor Hoda Kotb has admitted that people have confused her for fellow journalist Gayle King over the years. Meanwhile, series alum Laura Jarrett also claimed that people have told her that she looks like Meghan Markle.
