Many fans know Jenn Tran through her work in reality television, including being one of the title stars of The Bachelorette. However, she’s had another goal, and it’s something that she was pursuing even before she joined the famous show. Recently, she opened up about a career milestone and what the future could hold for her.

Jenn Tran Was The Star Of Season 21 Of The Bachelorette

Tran first made her Bachelor Nation debut with Season 28 of The Bachelor, appearing with Joey Graziadei. She ultimately finished the season in fifth place.

However, a year later, Tran was announced as the star of Season 21 of The Bachelorette. She became engaged to Devin Strader, but he broke off the engagement within a few months. Following this, she joined Season 33 of Dancing with the Stars, taking seventh place.

While making a name for herself on reality television and social media, Tran has also been pursuing a master’s degree in clinical medical science while attending Miami’s Barry University. The star has shared that she recently graduated and has the official title of “certified physician assistant.”

Speaking with People, Tran shared that earning her degree and certification felt “surreal.” She expressed, “Honestly, there was a point in time where I didn’t even think I was smart enough to go through PA school.”

Tran Revealed That She Joined The Bachelor During A Two-Year Break From Pursuing Her Medical Dreams

However, Jenn ultimately proved herself wrong. She explained, “It was really just a moment of proving that hard work can get you through everything. If you just put in the work and have a little bit of delusion, you can get there.”

As Tran noted, she faced quite a few setbacks early on. She applied to PA school multiple times, but was initially rejected for not having clinical experience. In fact, it was during a two-year break from pursuing her dream that she appeared on The Bachelor.

Rather than convincing her to give up her dream, Tran shared that the world of reality television gave her the push she needed. She shared, “Reality TV very much changed my life. It opened so many doors. But at the same time, there was always something in the back of my mind. I had this empty feeling still.” She explained, “I didn’t feel fulfilled. I was missing my passion and my purpose.”

Tran is as unsure as everyone else when it comes to what the future holds for her. However, she ultimately feels that a career in medicine is where she wants to be. As she shared, “I love medicine. I love helping people. I am just so inspired by education and knowledge. And I feel most myself when I’m able to learn.”
