Dylan Dreyer jetted off to Turks & Caicos in late July for her annual summer vacation. It was a family affair. Her three sons and some of her ex-husband’s family went on the trip as well. The Today Show host filed for divorce from Brian Fichera in March 2026, nearly a year after separating.

She returned to the NBC morning program on Monday, July 3. Her trip to Turks & Caicos was more than just a summer vacation. She was also celebrating her 45th birthday. Her Today Show co-hosts surprised her with an unexpected birthday gift on Monday’s episode. First, she was treated to waffles and ice cream, one of her favorite sweet treats. Then Craig Melvin presented her with a gift from him and Al Roker.

Anyone who watches the Today Show knows that Dylan Dreyer is an avid golfer. Craig Melvin and Al Roker gave her an unexpected gift for her hobby that is sure to keep them on her mind. They gave her golf balls with their faces on them.

Craig Melvin joked that his co-host would “never miss” now that she had something to aim at. However, she missed four in a row when she tested out the golf balls on the green inside the studio.

After watching Dylan Dreyer miss multiple times, Craig Melvin joked that it was a good thing she was good at the weather. But Dylan Dreyer is actually great at golf, too. Her former husband taught her.

“It’s a slow process picking it up a little later in life, but now I’m hooked,” she told Golf Digest in 2023. She encouraged women to join their husbands on the golf course. It’s four or five hours where we’re having some beers, we’re catching up, we’re outside. It feels like we’re doing something active, and we’ve now started to plan vacations around it,” she said about spending quality time with her then-husband.

Dylan Dreyer sometimes covers golf tournaments for NBC Sports. She’s a regular participant in the American Century Championship in Lake Tahoe, Nevada, and the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions in Orlando, Florida. The Today Show host loves to golf.
