Jelly Roll Shocks Fans By Announcing Multi-Year Musical Hiatus

Jelly Roll has been touring for the last several years, promoting his albums Whitsitt Chapel and Beautifully Broken. His final show was on July 30, 2026, at Weidner Field in Colorado Springs, Colorado. However, he announced that he is taking a multi-year musical hiatus. Jelly Roll Needs Time To Breathe

It has been a whirlwind ride for Jelly Roll, who went from hustling to superstar. This was a life that he had only dreamt of, and then he met Bunnie Xo in Las Vegas, Nevada. Immediately, they made up a five-year plan of their goals and dreams, both personally and professionally. Jelly admitted that they achieved all of them, and then they went on to make up a lifetime plan because he wanted to take care of everyone, down to his future grandchildren. He was selling out tours, in demand, and everyone had nothing but praise for his music and philanthropy.

Jelly Roll was visiting prisons, talking and inspiring inmates, and keeping on the straight and narrow. Additionally, he and Bunnie Xo were raising his daughter, Bailee Ann, all while he worked on his fitness, dropping 300 pounds, and winning 3 Grammys. In May 2026, he filed for divorce from Bunnie after a decade, and now, he has announced that he is taking a break from music. On July 28th, he broke the news during his Salt Lake show:

“This has truly been a lifetime experience for me. In a couple of nights, I go to Colorado Springs and do my last show for a year or two.”

The 41-year-old father of two went on to add:

“I’m fixing to take some time off and heal. I love you all so much. Thank you for the opportunity.”

He just released a new single, “Hands Up,” which was filmed at San Quentin and resonated with many people. However, this could be the last that fans hear from Jelly Roll for the time being. He truly has been going and doing, so it makes sense that he just wants to be still.

Empty Nester

Jelly Roll is set to be an empty nester. His daughter, Bailee, is headed to college, and Bunnie Xo will be splitting her time between Nashville and California. However, fans and followers believe that he needs the time away. He has been scrutinized for his political affiliations and for filing for divorce. Therefore, some think this is a necessary break. Some have noted that he is taking the time for skin removal, while others believe he just needs a break:
