‘RHOC’ Vicki Gunvalson’s Son Reveals Shocking Estrangement From Sister
The Real Housewives of Orange County star Vicki Gunvalson prided herself on creating a brand so she could take care of her family. She had two children, Mike Wolfsmith and Briana Culberson. Yet, the RHOC family started to grow apart when Briana eloped with Ryan Culberson, and they started relocating due to military orders. Mike is opening up about his shocking estrangement from his sister, which broke Vicki’s heart. Keep reading for more on what he revealed.
RHOC Fans Watched Vicki’s Kids Turn Into Adults
When RHOC began twenty years ago, Vicki Gunvalson’s children were beginning their lives. Her son, Mike Wolfsmith, was in college, whereas Briana (Wolfsmith) Culberson was still in high school. Unfortunately, Briana faced a plethora of health problems, including a cancer scare, but that never derailed her from her dreams. She became an ER nurse, married Ryan Culberson at a Las Vegas drive-thru chapel, and went on to have four children. Unfortunately, because he was in the military, they moved around a lot, and that was hard for Vicki.
As for Mike, he became the VP of Coto Insurance and worked with his mother, but did not want to settle down. He moved to Spain and has worked remotely. During the July 30th episode of RHOC, he went to lunch with Vicki, who was saddened that her children were gone. Mike then shared that he had not seen Briana in eight years. Moreover, he had not met her two youngest children, Hank and Cora. Vicki stated that it was hard with Mike traveling and Briana in Oklahoma, but there’s more than just distance. On social media, a fan told Mike to see his sister, to which he responded:
- I’ve never been invited out there, and she doesn’t visit [California]. I was living in Hawaii and now Spain. A couple years ago I said I wanted to visit when I was fairly close to Oklahoma, and she said it wasn’t a good time because of her husband who I don’t get along with very well.

A Sad Twist
In Oklahoma, Ryan and Briana Culberson have completely transformed their lives. They live as naturally as possible, but RHOC fans have always been worried. Ryan has been a red flag for some time, and they fear he could be controlling Briana. She was always a strong woman, but after learning that she and Mike are estranged, something was very off:
- Michael seems like the kind of guy that prefers peace and Ryan seems like a guy who likes to provoke. I’m sad and disappointed Bri and Mike aren’t closer.
