Dylan Dreyer Reveals Biggest Parenting Struggle

Dylan Dreyer was married to Brian Fichera for twelve years before they split. They separated in July 2025 and she filed for divorce in March. Despite their marriage ending, the former couple still has a good co-parenting relationship. They share three sons – Calvin, Oliver, and Russell. But raising three boys isn’t easy. Dylan Dreyer shared her biggest parenting struggle.

The Today Show host launched a parenting podcast, The Parenting Chat, in April 2026. She’s made some big confessions about being a working mom. The morning host enlists nannies but is still a hands-on mom. Too hands-on sometimes, if you ask her.

Dylan Dreyer confessed during a recent podcast episode that she absolutely hates taking her kids to the playground. “And I’m just sitting here for hours when there is something else I could be enjoying,” she said, while also complaining about digging her kids’ toys out of the “disgusting” sandbox.

Today Host Breaks Down In Tears Over Family Tragedy

Like many going through a divorce, Dylan Dreyer puts on a brave face for her kids. But she broke down in tears on the latest episode of The Parenting Chat. She kicked off the podcast with a video of the day she moved out of her New York City apartment that she shared with her ex for years.

The move happened last fall but it was still difficult to relive it. “This made me just bawl my eyes out,” Dylan Dreyer said about the clip that showed her son Russell, 4, on the floor crying about having to leave his home.

“We just sold that apartment, and now, it was empty. And that room had seen so much, and now, we were moving on to a new adventure, a new chapter as a family,” she added.

Dylan Dreyer documented the move on her Instagram in October. She shared throwback photos, including painting the walls and her sons as they grew. The heartbreaking final photo shows the Today host’s feet as she sits in their empty bedroom.

Dylan Dreyer and her children were sad to leave the NYC apartment they’d called home for so long. However, she’s determined to give her kids a great childhood, no matter where they live.
