'Password' Jimmy Fallon Calls Out 'Scary' Anthony Anderson

Password is set to debut its latest season as TV enters the summer months. Even so, a recent preview clip already teased a little of what fans can expect. In one moment, Anthony Anderson and Jimmy Fallon got really creative when it came to coming up with clues for their teammates.

Season 3 Of Password Is Set To Premiere On June 2 On NBC

Password is a game show originating in the 1960s. The show revolved around celebrity and contestant pairs who try to guess each other’s mystery words using one-word clues. Various versions of the show have aired over the years.

NBC debuted its most recent primetime revival of the series in 2022, with Jimmy Fallon serving as both a celebrity partner and an executive producer, in addition to having Keke Palmer as its host. A third season for the show is set to debut on June 2.

Prior to the release, a preview clip teased Anthony Anderson scares a contestant during the season’s premiere. However, it appeared to be Fallon’s reaction to the moment that helped make the scene go viral.

As seen in a recent clip, Anderson and Fallon have to get their partners to guess the word “Rage” for the category, “Passwords That Are Red.” Having some fun, Anderson started things off by shouting “Angry” with a deep voice.

After repeating the word in the same tone, Anderson got a laugh out of Palmer. However, Fallon scolded him, sharing, “You’re scaring her.” Anderson explained, “I know! I’m trying to. It’s the word,” causing Fallon to admit, “Ok! Alright. Alright.”

A Number Of Stars Are Already Set To Appear This Season

Unfortunately, Anderson’s partner guessed, “Fury.” Fallon didn’t have much luck, either, with his clue of “Cage” earning a “Match.” Anderson continued to use a low voice, shouting, “Quiet.” This caused his partner to guess “Animalistic.”

Anderson ended up paying Fallon a comment with his next clue, “Road,” sharing, “Ooo, that’s a good one.” However, Fallon’s teammate guessed, “Furious.”

However, someone else seemed to pick up on the clue. Anderson’s partner told him to “Say whatever.” When Anderson literally said, “Whatever,” his partner made the correct guess, earning them two points. Fallon put his head on the desk in defeat. However, at this point, his team already had a bit of a lead.

This season already promises to be a star-studded event. As noted by TV Insider, other celebrity guests lined up to appear include Alan Cumming, Tiffany Haddish, Ice-T, Wayne Brady, Savannah Guthrie, Constance Wu, Darren Criss, and The Miz, among others.
