Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s oldest child turns 13 in June. They welcomed their first child in 2013. Their oldest son, Saint, followed in 2015. Chicago West arrived in 2018, followed by their youngest son, Psalm, a year later. North West has not only followed her mom’s footsteps on social media, she’s inherited her father’s music talent.
Earlier this month, she released her first EP, N0rth4evr. The tween has made headlines in recent months for her shocking body modifications and accessories. However, she doesn’t let the haters get to her. She has her father’s full support regarding her emerging rap career. However, Kim Kardashian is still on the fence.
Kim Kardashian ‘Conflicted’ Over North West’s ‘Nepo Baby’ Status
Nepo babies is a derogatory term social media users have placed on the offspring of celebrities who use their famous connections to get jobs. With two celebrity parents, North West is the epitome of the term. Kim Kardashian has taken on the role of “momager” for her minor daughter. The media mogul applied for a federal trademark on NOR11 earlier this year, seemingly preparing for her daughter to launch a lifestyle brand.
But the reality star is reportedly torn over her daughter’s growing fame. A source told The Daily Mail that Kim Kardashian has encouraged North West to embrace the “nepo baby” moniker. “Kim would actually prefer it if her kids weren’t so in the spotlight, but she knows that isn’t realistic. That’s why she’s preparing them all to be self-sufficient financially and exploit their nepo baby status,” the insider said. However, Kim Kardashian said otherwise on her family’s Hulu reality show.
“Me having to be her momager right now is crazy. It’s just, it was not on my list. It was not on my Bingo card for this year. And I’m not ready,” she said in one episode.
In another, Kim Kardashian admitted, “I’m really conflicted on my daughter’s career. I just really want to make sure that everything’s really well balanced. All of the work experiences are balanced out with just enough fun life experiences. I just want balance.”
