Why isn’t a new episode of Mama June: Family Crisis on tonight, Friday, May 22nd? It ended on a pretty big cliffhanger, as Pumpkin Efird revealed that her ex-husband had an unexpected threesome. So, what is on instead, and when will the hit reality series return? Keep reading for more details on what is going on.

Mama June Is Absent From This Week’s Schedule

Last week on Mama June, Jessica Shannon and Shyann McCant were getting ready to walk down the aisle. Yet, the rain and a missing officiant threatened to ruin their big day. They arranged for a beach wedding, much to June’s surprise, but it was almost derailed. Luckily, Josh showed up, and everything worked out. At the same time, Josh and June threw jabs at one another during the ceremony and reception, which made everyone uncomfortable. Still, the families danced and had a great time until the next morning. Shyann’s sister was asked to babysit, and things began to spiral.

Pumpkin Efird went off the rails and revealed that her ex-husband, Josh, had slept with Jessica and Shyann. This was a secret that should have been taken to the grave, but allegedly it all happened with the hopes of making a baby. Jessica left feeling betrayed and broken, while Pumpkin was done with her family. Fans wanted to know what was next, if Shyann or Jessica ended up expecting a baby. Moreover, they were hoping this would get cleared up on the next episode, but the show is not on the schedule.

That is because Friday, May 15th, was the Mama June: Family Crisis season finale. There were just ten episodes, and it is unclear when the show will return for more. With the tension between June, Josh, Pumpkin, and the sisters, it might be hard to even film as a cohesive unit. Josh has stated he only stuck around for the money.

On In Its Place

Taking over for Mama June: Family Crisis will be a new season of Love After Lockup. However, because of Memorial Day weekend, WeTV will be showing movies instead. As the final episode of Family Crisis went on, viewers had a lot of mixed reactions:

  • They’re all one sick family. They need help
  • I could not believe the day after the wedding argument. I cannot believe Josh had a three way with Jessica and Shyanne! I now see why Pumpkin was so mad. If they wanted a child, they could use a sp*rm bank. That’s just gross.
  • I don’t like June one bit and Josh congratulations for being out of the crazy family
