Jimmy Kimmel Asks Fans To Cancel Paramount+ Subscriptions
Jimmy Kimmel has hosted his late-night talk show for decades. Recently, he teamed up with other late-night figures. In addition, he had a certain call to action for some of his fans. This brought to mind previous actions made by his fans last year.
Jimmy Kimmel Recently Made The Call While Appearing On Another Late-Night Show
Kimmel is best known for hosting his namesake series, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, since 2003. Prior to this, he was known for his work with shows including The Man Show and Crank Yankers.
Recently, Kimmel called upon his fans to cancel their Paramount+ subscriptions. He was joined in this action by other late-night personalities.

As previously reported, Kimmel, Seth Meyers, Jimmy Fallon, and John Oliver appeared on an episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. This was a reunion of sorts, as they had previously formed the “Strike Force Five” podcast. Serving as their first time on a late-night stage together, they came together during one of Colbert’s final shows before The Late Show comes to an end on May 21. Following this, CBS is believed to be retiring the series’ format altogether.
Kimmel Also Announced That He Would Honor Colbert In Another Way During The Night Of His Series Finale
During the episode, Kimmel noted that his fans cancelled their Disney+ subscriptions when his live show was briefly pulled back in September. Kimmel wondered why fans weren’t doing the same for Colbert.
As Kimmel shared, “I will tell you, when I got knocked off the air for a few days, people cancelled Disney+. Why aren’t you people canceling Paramount+? Because you never had it in the first place?”

During Monday’s episode, Colbert asked his guests to “make a case for late night.” Kimmel shared, “We have a lot of shows. 30,000 people watching each one, and it adds up. People watch us on YouTube now. People have a lot of different options and they keep coming to us.”
This isn’t the only way Kimmel has shared that he would express his support for Colbert as his show is coming to an end. As noted by The Independent, Kimmel has announced that his own show would air a rerun during Colbert’s final night to avoid competing with his series finale. Notably, Kimmel had done the same in 2015 when David Letterman gave his final show on The Late Show, prior to Colbert taking over. For his part, Colbert also previously wished Kimmel “good luck” when news of his show’s cancellation came to light.

I believe Jimmy needs to find a real job. He is not a good comic and he is not funny. Not every one likes his humor.
Does he really think he has that many fans. The guy never was funny and all he has is hatred for Trump. I would hate to be like him.
I agree. Just another rich smart ass. Who watches his show anyway? Get a real job!
He is an animal!
At least he stands with his people, other comedians. They are all just trying to stand up for things they believe in. Our government (which is obviously not ours anymore) is a joke. Other countries laugh at us, we are the joke, Trump is a horrible person. Saying he is Christian, is the most sickening thing I have ever heard. Years of catholic school taught me that his actions are how you prove are not a Christian. If I can’t listen and laugh to comedians like Colbert or Kimmel, I am okay with laughing at the joke in his big gold ballroom. I am ashamed of what is happening now. its disgusting.
Then don’t watch. Duh? Just because you don’t like spinach doesn’t mean the rest of us shouldn’t be able to eat it. Go away please
Agree. And I’ve never seen a Colbert show.
I watch only Gutfeld.
If your fan base is only 30k/episode, I’m surprised they didn’t discontinue your show before your statement aimed at the First Lady. Good bye Jimmy, maybe you can get a job as a Walmart Greeter.
I hope this is the beginning of bringing back better late night tv that is actually entertaining. My husband and I loved Late Night with David Letterman. We never missed a show. Late night has turned so political that we can’t stand late night tv anymore. We now watch House Hunters on HGTV at night.
The Jimmy Kimmel show should’ve been CANCELLED a long time ago, nothing but TRASH talk, reminds of the The View
Some other stations should have the courage and intelligence to hire Stephen Colbert IMMEDIATELY! He hosts one of THE BEST shows on television and ending his show is plain and simple censorship. WHAT HAPPENED TO FREEDOM OF SPEECH? He wouldn’t have so many people who lay awake EVERY weeknight if they didn’t want to spend time getting his take on the state of this crazy world! Personally, I wish he would be out next President!
Losing Late Night with Stephen Colbert is going to be like losing a friend. For four miserable years, I watched all of these shows, clinging to to the affirmation that there are others who hate the situation in D.C. as much as I do and have the support staff and the platform to keep me up to date with the daily tragedies and embarrassment,a, but enable me to laugh at it and that’s been cathartic. Gonna miss Stephen.
Johnny Carson & Jay Leno were the only two late night hosts worth watching. The rest of the “wannabe” hosts aren’t worth the airtime.
Good bye to all late night. They have all passed their prime!!
I didn’t realize Kimmel had any fans.
Really Like my Paramount subscription, you not so much.
Everyone, check out GUTFELD. Very funny late-night show on Fox weeknights. Greg Gutfeld’s ratings top ALL of the other shows. Much of it is political humor but it is lighthearted and fun, not hateful and mean spirited like Jimmy Kimmel. I couldn’t believe Kimmel wasn’t pulled off the air after he outright lied about Charlie Kirk’s assassin, claiming he was MAGA.
