Disney Star Arrested For Battery After ‘Terrorizing’ Neighborhood

Disney Star Arrested For Battery After ‘Terrorizing’ Neighborhood
Unfortunately, many former child stars struggle with baggage later in life. Former Mouseketeer Britney Spears was under a court-ordered conservatorship for over a decade, starting when she was 26. She was “freed” from the conservatorship several years ago, but continues to struggle.
She’s just one of many former child stars who faced mental health and other issues as adults. One former Disney star was arrested over the weekend after getting in multiple physical altercations. Even Stevens star Shia LaBeouf was arrested during Mardi Gras and charged with two counts of battery.
The Transformers actor allegedly got into several fights while celebrating the holiday in New Orleans, Louisiana. According to the police, Shia LaBeouf was acting “aggressive” in a bar, forcing them to kick him out. He allegedly got into a fight with someone on the street, left, and returned to the area later, acting even worse.
“Multiple people attempted to hold [LaBeouf] down — he was eventually let up in the hopes that he would leave — but he reportedly again struck the same victim with closed fists to the victim’s upper body,” the New Orleans police department said, according to the Independent.
The outlet reported that the former child star had been partying for several days leading up to his arrest. A bartender who served him prior to the altercation told the media that Shia LaBeouf was “terrorizing” the neighborhood.
The actor is reportedly still in jail after being treated by paramedics after engaging in several fights. Several of the altercations were caught on camera by bystanders. TMZ dropped footage of Shia LaBeouf getting beaten up by bystanders.

Shia LaBeouf Has History Of Arrests
This wasn’t Shia LaBeouf’s first brush with the law. He’s been arrested several times in recent years. His legal troubles began in 2014 when he was arrested for disorderly conduct and harassment after a disturbance at a New York City theater.
He was arrested in 2015 and 2017 for public intoxication. His latest arrest was in 2020 for battery and petty theft after an altercation. He avoided jail time by entering a treatment facility.
That same year, his ex-girlfriend, FKA Twigs, filed a lawsuit alleging physical and sexual abuse. The two dated for less than a year, splitting up in 2019. Shia LaBeouf welcomed a child with actress Mia Goth in 2022. While he denied his ex’s allegations, the lawsuit was settled in 2025.
His recent arrest comes after years of legal trouble.
