However, Snoop Dogg’s trip has allegedly not gone without conflict. Reports have come out that the rapper’s security team has gotten into a clash with Dutch speed skating star Marianne Timmer.

Timmer is a three-time gold medalist at the Winter Olympics. She previously won gold in Japan in 1998 and in Turin, Italy, in 2006.

After watching the games’ 1000m event, Snoop Dogg was reportedly escorted out by his team. They are said to have pushed Timmer out of the way. At the time, she was reportedly waiting to interview a group of athletes.

Marianne Timmer Also Shared Her Account Of What Allegedly Happened

Timmer reportedly shared her account of what happened with Dutch outlet Sportnieuws. She shared, “I was standing against a wall, and one of the security guards pushed me even closer.”

“I said, ‘Just act normal’, it’s a really wide hall, about four metres. But then the guy came back and I said, ‘What? Do I have to go through that wall or something?’ He came back and started acting all up against me.”

Timmer explained that she wasn’t waiting for Snoop Dogg, but for other athletes. She also claimed that Snoop’s security detail had started acting confrontationally.

According to the outlet, Timmer added, “We saw a Dutchman being roughly escorted away from the stands by some very large security guards.” She mused on what it would have been like if that had happened to her, adding, “That would have been a nice story.”

It’s believed that the incident didn’t escalate further. According to Marca, no official complaints have been publicly shared concerning the story. That said, the outlet mused that the story raises questions about crowd management at international sporting events.
