‘When Calls The Heart’ Shocks With Schedule Change
Season 13 of When Calls the Heart just premiered on Sunday, January 4th, 2026, and already, it is shocking fans with a schedule change. It is no longer airing on Sundays, but what is the reason, and when can they catch the next episode? Keep reading for more details on the hit Hallmark series.
When Calls The Heart Not Airing Sunday, 2/8
Fans of When Calls The Heart have grown accustomed to watching the hit series on Sunday nights on Hallmark Channel. It has become a comfort show starring Erin Krakow, Pascale Hutton, Jack Wagner, Kavan Smith, and Chris McNally. Hope Valley is a fictional home to many who waited nearly a year for the series’ return. Unfortunately, upon looking at the schedule for the upcoming weekend, WTCH is not there for Sunday, February 8th, 2026. So, where is it, what has replaced it, and when will episode six finally air?
Due to the Super Bowl airing Sunday night on NBC and streaming on Peacock, WCTH has moved its airdate up to Saturday. Therefore, fans of the show will still get a brand new episode, just one night earlier. The synopsis for this week reads as follows:
“A familiar face returns and brings a fun, new piece of technology with her…the polygraph. Nathan freezes when a playful line of questioning catches him off guard.”
It is alleged that Melissa Gilbert will be back in Hope Valley, reprising her role as Georgie McGill. However, she has been in the news for another reason as of late. Her husband, Timothy Busfield, was accused of child sex abuse, and the case just keeps getting worse. Yet, Melissa has stood by Timothy through thick and thin, and nothing will change that. Television fans have grown up with Melissa as she was a fan favorite on the hit series, Little House on the Prairie.
So, to have her on When Calls the Heart is a huge honor, and it feels like a full-circle moment.
A Shock To The System
When the post went out detailing how fans could catch the new When Calls the Heart episode on Saturday at 10 pm EST, fans were shocked. They did not understand what was going on and why it said Saturday rather than Sunday:

Fortunately, once fellow Hearties explained the Super Bowl as the reason, it all made sense, and no one was mad. Furthermore, WCTH will be streaming the following day on Hallmark Plus, so if it is missed on Saturday, there is always Sunday morning.
