Savannah Guthrie’s mother, Nancy, was reported missing in Arizona on February 1st. Since then, the family has been receiving support from Savannah’s Today colleagues. Recently, it was announced that Jenna Bush Hager would help host a vigil for Nancy, which Today viewers could also stream. Keep reading for all of the details on this very special event.

Jenna Bush Hager Touched On Savannah Guthrie’s ‘Message Of Prayer’

Nancy Guthrie was reported missing from her home in Tucson, Arizona, on Sunday. Local authorities have described the search as a criminal investigation, with blood being found near the property’s residence. After around four days of searching, no suspects were named in the case.

Since then, Savannah Guthrie has stepped away from her duties at NBC as she assists in the search for her mother’s whereabouts. This included her co-hosting the opening ceremonies of the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy.

Recently, Savannah has received support from other members of the Today team. During a recent episode of the show, Jenna Bush Hager shared, “Savannah’s message of prayer, I think that’s what she wants everyone to hear. She said, ‘It’s all we’ve got.”

Supporters Can Stream The Vigil At New York City’s Good Shepherd Church

Jenna noted that she and Savannah attended the same New York City church. She added that she and her friends would be hosting a vigil in Nancy’s honor.

Jenna shared, “All of our friends are rallying and know that the way that we can help her is to pray. Her faith leads us, and Nancy leads us as well.”

The vigil was held at Good Shepherd, a non-denominational Christian church, on Wednesday, starting at 7 PM local time. At the time, Jenna also invited fans to virtually tune into a livestream of the vigil on YouTube. A program was also made available online.

Jenna added that her message of support was with other Today alumni, including Carson Daly, Sheinelle Jones, and Craig Melvin. In particular, Carson shared, “Let’s get Nancy home. It just takes one phone call. And let’s continue to have that positive outlook.”

Although Savannah has been absent from Today since Monday, she recently thanked fans for their support. She shared, “Thank you for lifting your prayers with ours for our beloved mom, our dearest Nancy, a woman of deep conviction, a good and faithful servant. Raise your prayers with us and believe with us that she will be lifted by them in this very moment. We need you.”
