Savannah Guthrie’s Family Member Prime Suspect In Mom’s Disappearance?
Savannah Guthrie’s mother, Nancy Guthrie, has been missing since Sunday, February 1st, 2026. She was last seen on January 31st, 2026, and the case keeps getting more interesting. Now, it appears that one of Savannah’s family members may be a prime suspect. Keep reading for what is now known and the steps that are being taken.
Savannah Guthrie’s Family Member Prime Suspect?
When Savannah Guthrie’s mother went missing from her Tucson, Arizona home, it was extremely suspicious. She was 84 and would not leave on her own accord. The fact that she missed church raised a red flag, so they alerted the family, who headed to her home. After searching, they knew something was up and called the authorities to the scene. It soon became clear that Nancy was likely taken against her will from the house in the middle of the night. She is allegedly sharp as a tack, but does have some ailments. Furthermore, she needs medications that she cannot live without, so time is of the essence.
Now, it appears that one of Savannah’s family members could be a prime suspect in the disappearance of Nancy. This would be Savannah’s brother-in-law, Tommaso Cioni, who is married to Annie Guthrie, and they were the last two people to see Nancy alive. Annie had dinner with her on Saturday, January 31st, but it is unknown if Tommaso was at the dinner. Per Ashleigh Banfield, an insider close to the case shared that he is a strong person of interest, and allegedly, Annie’s car has been taken, as well.

Supposedly, Annie’s car could hold some connection to her husband, but again, this is all alleged. Savannah Guthrie has continued to speak out, asking her followers to pray, while thanking them for reaching out. All the family wants is for the safe return of Nancy, but the clock is ticking and quickly running out.
Could It Be?
When news broke that it could be Savannah Guthrie’s brother-in-law, followers were shocked. They did not expect that plot twist at all:
- I’m watching right now. So crazy. Wasn’t expecting that.
- Why would they do that to their own family?
- It’s always been said that the last ones to see a victim are usually the prime suspect. I wonder if they were strapped for money? I do hope it isn’t Annie that did this as this would be doubly devastating for Savanah.
At the same time, some claimed that Ashleigh Banfield had been known to falsely accuse people in the past. Therefore, they were taking what she said with a grain of salt but were still suspicious and waiting for the next press conference.
