Sunny Hostin Calls Out Popular Podcaster For ICE Stance
The behavior of ICE agents is a hot topic around the country right now. An officer was involved in the shooting death of a woman in Minneapolis, Minnesota, earlier this month. The shocking video went viral, putting the spotlight on ICE’s tactics. The U.S. Immigrantion and Customs Enforcement agency has been tasked with deporting illegal immigrants.
However, the agents have faced criticism for using excessive force and detaining U.S. citizens. Even some who previously spoke out in support of the deportations have expressed distaste for the tactics used by ICE. Joe Rogan hosts one of the most popular podcasts. He recently compared ICE to the “Gestapo” of Nazi Germany.
But his criticism was too little, too late for Sunny Hostin. According to TV Insider, The View co-host called Joe Rogan out. “I think Joe Rogan got the country that he voted for. He not only has 20 million followers, is extremely influential, he endorsed Donald Trump in this last campaign,” she said.
Sunny Hostin continued, “And I think when you have a platform of 20 million people, and you have so much influence, with that comes a lot of responsibility. And I think that he misused his platform.”
The View Host Slammed For ‘Annoying’ Habit
Sunny Hostin has been co-hosting the ABC talk show for nine seasons. She’s a former federal prosecutor and often cites legal cases while sharing her opinions. She gets less backlash than some of the other hosts. However, one viewer is fed up with one of Sunny Hostin’s habits on the talk show.
“This is going to sound really nitpicky, and I get that, but something Sunny does that really gets on my nerves is constantly interrupts the guests by inserting “Oooh!” “Mmmm!” “Woooow!” “Amaaaazing!” or something to that end between every single thing they say. It comes across as inauthentic and I wish she would just let them speak,” the fan vented on Reddit.
