Katie Couric Shares Health Update Right From Hospital Bed
Katie Couric has shared a lot with fans over the years through various outlets, including her own social media accounts. Recently, Couric shared a health update straight from the hospital. At the time, she also took the moment to share some advice with her followers.

Couric is a broadcast journalist with a prolific career. She has served as a television host for various outlets over the years, including CNN, NBC, CBS, and ABC.
Couric is also the founder of Katie Couric Media. She is also known for her podcast, Next Question with Katie Couric, and her newsletter, Wake Up Call.

Recently, Couric shared a photo of herself from a hospital bed with fans on social media. Putting on a brave face, she had a slight smile as a nurse stood alongside her. According to the post, she was being treated at the David H. Koch Center in New York.
The journalist shared that she was undergoing a colonoscopy. She also took the time to advise her followers to get screened for colorectal cancer if they were at least 45.
Noting that there was an increase among younger people, Couric also shared a few symptoms. This included “unexplained weight loss, change in bowel habits, blood in stools or toilet bowl, [and] bloating.”

Couric also told readers to be wary of this cancer in their family histories. As she explained, “You need to get screened 10 years before that family member was diagnosed!”
The journalist also suggested that she would give a later update about her condition. She noted, “Scientists are trying to figure out why this is happening and there are [many] theories.”

“I can do another interview about this if you’d like. Right now I’m too tired, thirsty and hungry to go into details but needless to say it’s incredibly upsetting.”
Couric also thanked her doctor, Felice Schnoll-Sussman, who “runs the Monahan Center at @weillcornell named after Jay.” As she noted, “I will be in good hands!” She also took the time to wish her husband, John Molner, a happy birthday, as she concluded the post. When asked about this in the comments, she shared she was only able to get the procedure around his birthday, assuring fans they celebrated on Saturday.
