‘The View’: Cheryl Hines Still Upset Over Appearance
Cheryl Hines is an actress known for a variety of roles and media appearances. Recently, she made an appearance on the long-running talk show, The View. However, the star opened up about this appearance, revealing she wasn’t too happy over what happened. In particular, she shared something she would like to ask the co-hosts.
Actress Cheryl Hines Appeared On The View Back In October
Many know Hines best for playing Cheryl David on HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm. She also starred in the ABC sitcom, Suburgatory.
In her personal life, Hines married Robert F. Kennedy Jr. in 2014 at the Kennedy Compound on Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Robert currently serves as the 26th United States Secretary of Health and Human Services.
Back in October, Hines appeared during an episode of The View. The actress was set to promote her memoir, Unscripted, on the New York-based show, though things didn’t necessarily go as she planned.
Recently, Hines reflected on the episode during an appearance on The Dr. Phil Podcast. As she noted, the conversation began to focus on her husband and politics.
In particular, Hines wondered if the situation would have played out the same if the genders were reversed, suggesting focus wouldn’t be given to a male guest having to defend his wife’s political statements. This also caused Hines to share a question she would like to ask the co-hosts.
Hines Shared That The Episode Wasn’t ‘Very Women Supporting Women’
Hines shared, “I was also thinking, what if I ask them about their husbands? Next time I go on, I’m really gonna read up on what’s happening with their spouses, just so, you know, it can be even.”
During the episode, some of the co-hosts, including Joy Behar, made sure to note that Hines’ husband’s claims were not her own. However, Sunny Hostin pressed issues, such as Kennedy supporting President Donald Trump or vaccines.

Looking back, Hines shared, “What does that say? It’s not very women supporting women. It would be different if they were attacking me in my views, but I haven’t been a very political person. I’ve only told people they should vote. I didn’t even say for whom. I just said I think it’s a good idea to get out there and vote. That’s as much as I’ve said.”
Speaking with Phil McGraw, Hines shared that she was happy for the opportunity to clear up some misconceptions. Hines’ idea for a question suggests she might be interested in making another appearance on The View. However, only time will tell if that will take place.
